the same old blood rush with a new touch

The dark woods engulfed by the shadows that are the night is not a place for the untainted to be wandering alone. Demo had heard stories of those with powers, and seen such things to lead her to believe that these superhuman beings did exist, though she refused to fear them. Part of her was screaming, telling her to leave while she still could, while she was still alive. But every movement in the forest that rustled the leaves shot shivers up her spine and a rush of adrenaline. She had always been one to face her fears, but now she was running right towards them. Pain, on the other hand, was something that proved unbearable.
Demo wasnt what anyone would consider the suicidal type. She was a bubbly, happy girl. She was always smiling and uplifting. This was not typical behavior for her. Of course, her outfit was still typical of her persona; bright colors and obnoxious prints. But even the happiness portrayed through her clothing and her usually forced smile and eager expression were replaced now but looks of nothing more than grief.
If he couldnt make it in this world, how was she supposed to? He was more ecstatic than she could ever dream of being and he was just so uplifting it was crazy. And even trying to live on his legacy, and be a hero to someone as he was to her, was proving to be too much for her to bear. She was barely scraping by as it was, how was she supposed to remember he who meant most to her? Everything seemed so out of reach..
There was a steep cliff-like structure with a good twenty feet drop onto the uninviting rapids below that suddenly seemed more inviting then ever. She was a bit shocked to feel rain begin to trickle down from the heavens, for a moment she thought it was a sign, but soon enough she just blew it off. She sat on the edge of the now wet mess of dead grass that lined the cliff. She wasnt going to jump, not now anyway. She still knew how the action hurt those who were close to the victim, but she couldnt help but remember she had no one anymore and she was a thousand miles away from home. She simply liked the option that if her emotoins got the best of her and she couldnt take it anymore, she didnt have to deal with it.
Where had the Demo gone that was always smiling? That was always dancing and jumping around like she might not get another chance to do it? The answer was simple, part of her died along with that boy. Part of her that at this point she thought she would never regain.

[W] For Language ------------------------------------------------------ The woods were quiet just how he wanted them to be and the rain that started falling a few minutes ago were not more but what he ended up getting when he had tried to make the snow fall instead. Away from every living soul was where Leon taught himself how to concentrate more when using his ability, because whenever he wanted to awake the sun, it was the clouds that appeared in the sky and whenever he wanted the snow to fall, it was the rain that fell. This wasn’t because of his inability to manipulate the weather but the young male had refused to do such things but sometimes, he would go out to the woods and practice, making sure the weather hasn’t changed in the village that was so near. Running his hands through his wet brown hair, Leon awaited inside a cave , sitting on a huge rock, trying to do his best to bring an end to the rain. It had worked before, but tonight, it was to no avail and he seriously wasn’t planning in returning back to the village wet as a kitten.
Leon shivered as he zipped up his hoodie and pulled the hood over his head, deciding that it wasn’t wise to stay sitting inside a cave while waiting for a miracle that might never occur. The rain wasn’t natural and of course it wasn’t the work of God. Not that he really believed in the existence of God, but the rain was an incident caused by a twenty-one male who no matter how much he disliked the Tainted and his own ability, he was still as curious as a cat. He began walking, ice beneath his feet crunched slightly as the rain continued falling lightly on the top of his hooded head. His left hand was shoved deeply inside the left pocket of his hoodie while with the other, Leon held his flashlight as he tried looking for a way out of the woods. The woods were supposed to be familiar and even though he has been staying in the village for not more than a week already, he knew most parts of the woods and tonight was a bizarre night because even after thirty minutes of walking, he couldn’t find the way out yet.
Leon leaned back against a tree and wiped the wetness from his face then decided to try again and stop this damned frog strangler. Taking a deep breath, he turned off his flashlight and looked up at the sky that was hidden from his view by the huge trees, yet he could see a part of it still. He began to meditate and the more he meditated, the more his body felt weak but deep inside, he hoped that this time he wasn’t going to fuck everything up and summon bolts of lightning from the sky instead. About a minute later, the rain had stopped and he continued making his way in the direction of what was still unknown, very aware that the iris of his hazel eyes were now of a grayish blue. He knew it that he was lost –a weird thing to happen to someone who’s been familiar with these woods- and that was proven the moment he reached the cliff. There wasn’t much snow in that area but from the wet dead grass, it had rained there too. Oopsie. The flashlight was in his hand again as he leaned forward a little to stare down at the rapids and wincing a little before stepping back. He didn’t want to die yet.
But suddenly, he heard a noise. Who or what was it? Alarmed of another presence in the area, Leon turned around and bit his bottom lip, taking a few steps forward and then paused, then began to walk again, shining forward with the flashlight. With a low gasp that escaped his lips, Leon raised an eyebrow and made his presence known to the female form that was sitting on the ground.
“Hey” He called with a deep throaty voice and it sure wasn’t that warm or kind.
Now who the hell was she… or was it? She could be anything; an entity who has came back to the spot where the person had committed a suicide once, a shapeshifter, a Tainted of course or wait….
“Are you okay? Are you lost?’’
He moved closer but still kept a good distance between them. The last option was that maybe this female was about to commit a suicide.

all those dirty looks they are right on que

The girl was withdrawn from her unruly fantasy at the hurly voice. She jumped ever so slightly, though her fingers were alredy so intertwined with the grass she didnt come closed to falling off the slippery edge. She slid a bit towards solid ground, then, untwining her fingers that had mangled the dead grass. She glanced at her hands, not being able to make out much of anything in the darkness, but the irritating dirt under her fingernails was unnerving. She was using it as a distraction, focusing almost all her energy on something so trivial, but doing nothing about it.
She soon realized that a real distraction had just presented itself. How had she not realized before? The twisted mind is a dangerous place. "Hey," She responded automatically, though the reaction was long delayed. She felt so messed up at that moment. Not so much suicidal, but she couldnt even understand the processes of her own mind for that instance. It was driving her rather crazy. She swallowed hard, deciding it would be better not to stand. After all, she was in the middle of the dark woods at night and some stranger just approached her. She didnt need him realizing she couldnt put up a fight with a squirrel at five feet tall.
She looked at the raging water that seemed so close and so far away at the same time. It was an interesting concept, space. When you are tired, something can seem so far away. But then when you are energetic it doesnt seem far enough. Demo believed everything in the word is circumstancial. Love more than anything. She thought you could meet anyone under the right circumstances and fall in 'love' with them. It didnt make sense to mess with such a trivial thing as love to the girl. Especially after realizing how quickly that established love could be taken from a person forever. The thought was chilling. What if she never saw him again? If there was no afterlife? She tried to calm herself, not wanting a panic attack in front of this male. Or anyone for that matter.
It took her a few moments for the boys words to register. "Huh? Yeah. Im great." She lied smoothly. Clearly she was distracted but that was no reason she should seem sad, right? She could fake it for the moment. It was an inconvieniant time, really. She had almost just let her feelings go and accept the reality and then he showed up. Now she was forced to play the tiring part she had come to loate. She smiled at the boy, glancing at her mudstainded grey jeans before looking back at him. "Demo Moore," She introduced herself slowly, pausing before continuing, "And you are?"
Her heart beat was faster than usual as she gazed upon the male. Sure, he had seemed helpful enough, but what would he be doing in the woods except maybe looking for prey? She was easy prey, a small, defrenseless, untainted girl. She was nervous, for no reason then the made-up situations that played out in her mind and she wondered if maybe this was how it ends. If he were looking for the sort of entertainment she feared so much to encounter again, she was glad she had the cliff's escape handy.
And then her thoughts traced to being a hero. Maybe if he was going to attack her, she could have that glorious death that could reuinite her unshamed with leo. She would finally stand up for herself, dispite the fact she was obviously no match for the male. Her twisted thoughtline was disturbing, and she thought only of the negative outcomes, though it seemed almost everything she said was positive.
