TAGGED: Closed To Wyn Hathaway [W] Slight Language
Thursdays, he hated those days most out of any other day of the week since it was the day before Friday. Also today was the day he had a practice after a practice then go home and study up a storm. Though today he was so lazy he did not want to study so he did head home just to drop off his things. Already showered up after his practice he was alright to go out right now. After all the locker rooms provided the shower since what was better then a hot shower after an hour session of work outs. His hair was not styled to perfect but just ruffled up wherever he wanted. He did not care since he did not think he was going to met anyone worth his while. Besides what he had in mind was a walk to the park and just hand out a little bit there. Tomorrow thank god he had an easy day as well as the house to himself for the weekend.
Throwing a huge party was ideal so he needed this walk to get the things in order and such. Music, drinks, food and of course most importantly to get all his friends to show up at his home, no problem. He has been able to produce successful parties when his parents go out of town before so he would be able to now. Never been caught also never been suspected that he would do such a thing when his parents were gone, his parents were so gullible. With his hands in his sweatshirt pocket he walked along the pathway to the park. Was still light out, nearly around 4pm, so there were some people out. Just was a slight chill but the black plain hoodie he had was keeping him warm. Though only thing he had under that was a normal dark blue t-shirt, he always warm so he didn't wear layers of too much clothing.
On the bottom was just his dark blue jeans, with a black studded belt, and black converses. Just like a typical rocker style kind of dresser. As he was walking he was simply chewing on the bottom of his lip and eyes locked to the ground. For some odd reason he did feel a little funny and soon his eyes caught to something yellow in the grass. Flower? Flowers were not supposed to be out this time since it was cold out and such. His eyes tilted slowly as he looked at the small collection right there then just shrugged since who knows. Mother nature had it's weird turn abouts so he thought nothing of it or nothing that he did it at all. He continued to walk a little with his eyes now looking at the clouds randomly. What he did not notice is as he was walking some of the grass was kind of moving, not from the wind. There was no wind at all, it was pulling towards him, like he was some magnet.
Was not to noticeable to the people who pass him by or really to anyone unless you were really observant. On top of really not paying attention to what was going on at ground level. He did not watch where he was going so he did move a little off to the right, just a tad. That was enough though to run into someone, hard, which he stopped walking immediately. His ice blue eyes went to the person which he just automatically snapped something rude. "Geez do you watch where you are going at all!?" But as soon as those words left his lips he regretted it since this person he ran into was someone recognizable. From the heat of embarrassment he quickly changed his tone of voice to one more nice. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell. I mean...clearly that was my fault." He went to quickly apologize and also take the blame. Now this he only did for people he knew and for pretty girls. Which in this case the person in front of him was both of those so he was really quick on changing his tone.

Thursdays.
Dang Thursdays.
Wyn took a run to Marseilles, ran rounds on Marseilles' track every Thursday, and another run back to the Hathaway house. You would think there was nothing wrong about it. You were WRONG. She would have to deal with assorted morons, two of which went by the name of Adrienne and Honey. They were cheerleaders. You would think, oh, what could cheerleaders do? Well, they could tease you about your hair, even when there was nothing wrong with it. They could make fun of your clothes, even though they were perfectly normal by other's standards. And they could laugh at your ugly face, even when people told you that you weren't that bad looking.
Wyn had to deal with this every Thursday. You would think that there was an easy solution: not to go running. The problem was, Wyn had to run. It was the only way to release her nervous energy. So, you would think, okay then, go running on another day. But Honey and Adrienne went to the tracks every day anyway. it wouldn't make a difference. So Wyn would have to deal with them, and she continued to try not to punch the two girls. They became increasingly annoying every time she saw them, though. She had actually considered complaining to Bae and Ky, or worse, Brody. But she had decided she would never go to them for help. It would hurt her pride. MAJORLY.
So there she was, in her jeans jacket, her hair tied up in a loose bun as usual. Her light green shirt, appearing dark green because it was drenched with sweat, clung to her skin. She had a pair of gray tights on. Her flushed cheeks glistened with sweat, and her forehead was creased in a frown. She was jogging at a steady pace, looking furious. She really had had enough of these two idiots. She would kill them with her bare hands. She would... whatever.
Wyn looked at her watch and blinked. It was about... 3 30 in the after. She wasn't supposed to be back at the house till 6. Well, that was good. She could drop by San's park. It would be nice.
Half an hour later, Wyn slowed down to a brisk walk, long strands of hair dripping with sweat. A figure was near. Did it matter who it was? Not really. Wyn just wanted to enjoy her time in the park and cool down from the encounter she had had. Seriously. After 2 hours, she had not calmed down. Suddenly, this figure veered to the right - and smashed right into her! Wyn yelped in pain and fell backwards, landing on her arm. She squealed like a pig, then got up, pale blue eyes meeting the icy blue ones of... who cared?
"Geez do you watch where you are going at all!?"
Wyn had just thought up a clever retort and was about to snap right back when suddenly the boy looked up. Her face hardened, then softened when the boy apologized.
'Erik O'Donovan, you are a total jerkface. But I forgive you.' Aelwyn Hathaway sniffed haughtily and folded her arms.

Of maybe he was just oblivious to his powers and he had them for such a long time but did not pay attention. He should of been though since his mother been telling him about her powers and when she got them. He just shrugged said he felt the same and nothing was happening really. Sure when he was not having a good day he noticed some of his mothers precious plants dead. He just thought it was her fault so he thought nothing of it since nothing happened in front of him. Also because the next day they would spring back to life since she would just revive her plants. She thought it was herself too and did not think her son inherited the same power he did. Though she was a little suspicious but whenever she observe her son, nothing happened really. So guess it was just a pure fluke things were happening weird and maybe she lost control of her own power.
Either way Erik was too busy to even notice the plants unless he was being gridded into it during a soccer fight. At this point he did not notice the grass kind of pulling to him like some magnet since he was in a happy mood. His powers only worked with his moods and sometimes just not at all, which is why he did not know he was tainted. But with the grass moving as he was moving it only might look like the wind was moving them about. Since all the pull stopped when he ran into someone, pretty hard. Yelling at them was the first thing he had done before looking clearly at the person he had ran into. His blue eyes stared down at the figure who fell on the ground. A little girlish yelp followed as she landed on the ground full contact. As soon as her eyes met his eyes he knew who it was. Then he instantly felt guilt inside and reversed his whole personality to an apology.
He can see she was going to yell at him until he did switch the whole mood around. Wyn, another Hathaway, he swore that family just straight up breed for a living. Erik was best friends with Bae and Kyn who were twins which at times he can not tell who was who, at times. Then on top of those three he had already mentioned there were older siblings which he knew about since he hung out a time or two at his friends home. On top of that there were three younger siblings right below Wyn. If Erik had that many siblings he would of literally went mad or something. He can barely even handle his only sister he has and she is barely and has been barely around. Without even thinking to help her up she got up herself before his brain could click.
She was not mad at him so he was happy since he did not really mean it, since she was a friend. "Yeah I know I am." He laughed since she called him a jerk face and he did not mind. At least she was forgiving and he stopped the laughing to simply smile at her. "Sorry I wasn't paying attention. Was thinking about lots of stuff for tomorrow. But...anyways I am sorry. Um...so...what are you doing out here in the park? All sweaty...?" He looked her over and noticed she was a little wet from sweat and looked like she had been running or walking some time now. Sure he was over observant and stood his ground, just looking at her curiously. Oh he already knew she was pretty but would be the death of him. Then again, Erik was always one to be brave and liked to try to step just a toe over the imaginary boundary line that was set in front of him.

& WHAT'STHEPROBLEM
Good lord, if Bae or Ky could see her in that position, they would have balled up their fists and been halfway to Erik already. Just the thought made her nervous, so nervous that she looked around to make sure neither were anywhere near. She couldn't stand the protective, overbearing behavior they displayed whenever she was remotely near a boy other than themselves and Brody. It wasn't like she couldn't take care of herself. Did they not know that she had punched a girl in the face two months ago and sent her home crying, with a broken nose? Apparently not. And it probably would be unwise to enlighten them.
Did he find her insult... amusing? Well, that was sot of alright. It really was quite amusing. A bit. Wyn raised an eyebrow at his laughter, but could not help smiling just a little bit. Who could avoid smiling when somebody was laughing because of an insult? Well, at least he had a good attitude. Wyn smiled slightly and pulled a chunk of blond hair behind her ear. In response to his first question, the Hathaway girl shrugged. 'Just running. I run every Thursday.' She smiled, looked even a bit hopeful. It would be nice if Erik ran with her every Thursday... but then again, he probably wouldn't have the time. He always had practice for one thing or another. Basketball, football, the works.
He was... staring at her. Was there something on her face? Wyn hurriedly wiped her face and blinked a few times, cross-eyed, before shaking her head slightly and staring back at Erik. 'What? Did I do something...?' he was still staring at her. Gosh. Something had to be seriously wrong with her. Wyn took the smallest baby step possible back, then scratched her head a bit and looked back at the boy as curiously as he was looking at her, for once fully appreciating his eyes. She had always avoided people's eyes, for fear of seeing disgust at her ugliness. She had never considered herself pretty. In fact, she considered herself very lacking in the looks department. Bae and Ky's continued insults regarding this made her believe that in comparison to her brothers, she really was ugly.
Suddenly her cheeks burned and she realized that now she was staring. She hurriedly looked away, afraid of biting words that might come from the boy any moment.
JERKFACE. He made her so mad at herself sometimes.

No over protective brothers to stop him now and this was going to be perfect since he was the kind to cause trouble. Especially the kind to bother those females he was not supposed to be touching or looking at. He was Erik O'Donovan and he was not going to let some pair of twins tell him what to do, or their older twit brother. He was going to do what he wanted when he wanted which now he was going to flirt. He had the open opportunity for it and so he was going to do it when eh wanted. He was sure that somewhere inside of her she wanted him to pay attention to her. He knew that she wanted the attention since she kind of sort of weirdly flirted back in her own way. Well at least he thought so and thought she was interested so he was going for this all the way.
His hands were buried into his pocket and his eyes were looking at her as she was regaining herself. The two were kind of glancing at one another and he did not feel it awkward. In fact he broke the ice and asked what she was doing out there all sweaty. Had to be the obvious answer that she was out there running since she looked like she was dressed in cross country or jogging attire. Also the fact she was panting a little and also sweating a storm. Did not bother him though since he was normally sweaty all the time from various practices and such. Though he had been all showered up since then and smelt like his body spray. Yup she confirmed his thoughts that she was running with answering which his hand went to the bottom of his chin. "Mmm...run every Thursdays, eh?" Now the different stir of thoughts happened.
He would be able to accidentally run into her without any of her body guards around every Thursday if he wanted. This was a good pair of information for his benefit so he smirked slowly. But lost the smirk after a while and let his eyes do a little roaming around on her. Especially her face which he did crack a normal smile instead of a smirk since she was very well put together. A little childish with her features but she still was beautiful. Staring for a while which she seemed a little uneasy with him looking at her but did not stop at all. His smile widen more when she asked him what she did and he shrugged slowly then smirked. "Nothing, you didn't do nothing. Just nice to finally appreciate you without your body guards around." Oh, smooth, he knew he was just full of himself a little and just liked to flirt with Wyn to piss off her brothers.
She was the one girl they were not allowed to have and flirt with but him. No he was different since he was allowed to flirt and have her if he wanted since they were not related. Guess this fact might irk the others but he did not care, he liked to push buttons too. "Also I am amazed. Your siblings allow you out of the house alone to run in the park. I thought protection was on you 24 hours a day to keep the boys away." He laughed out since he was making some small jokes and also flirting in a friendly sense. Since his happen mood happened his powers kind of went out of wacky, he didn't noticed. Just some sprouts of yellow flowers grew out of the ground and opened their petals facing towards him.

& MAKEPEACEWITHANEMPTYTOWN
Smirk. The smirk. The trademark Erik O'Donovan smirk. Did he ever smile sincerely? He looked really cute when he did that. Wyn's slightly widened blue eyes turned to Erik again, searching for something that wasn't so smirkish. It was a few moments before the smirk disappeared. Then he was just staring. And then... oh, lookie! A proper smile! Wyn suddenly realized she wasn't supposed to stare so much. who cared? It was Erik O'Donovan. He wouldn't mind.
"Also I am amazed. Your siblings allow you out of the house alone to run in the park. I thought protection was on you 24 hours a day to keep the boys away."
Eh? That wasn't right.
Wyn raised an eyebrow. 'I don't run in the park. I run from the house to Marseilles, then round the track, then I fight with a couple of girls, then run back here.' Wyn clarified. Then she laughed. 'Boys? What boys? More like giggling teenage girls swatting me with their ultra-shiny hands because I was rude to them.' She smiled, averting her eyes. 'I bet they crowd around you too, for different reasons.' Okay, that was just so not Wyn Hathaway. Wyn Hathaway didn't flirt, she hid her face and was quiet and self-conscious and stuff like that.
Suddenly, she noticed something sprouting from the ground. 'Erik!' She said, surprised. 'Flowers...' She bent down to pick one of the bright yellow flowers that sprouted at the handsome boy's feet. 'How'd you do that?' Of course, he had gotten his ability already. It made sense. It wasn't like she was new to the whole, i got an ability thing, since most of her family had one. If only she had one. What Ky could do was pretty cool. It would be so awesome if she could do that as well.
It was cool. 'That was awesome. Could you do it again?' Wyn straightened up and stared at the flower, examining it. It was completely natural. How cool was that? Erik had made fully real flowers. She looked up, then pouted. The pout always worked. On Bae, anyway.

After he said he was amazed she was out here running alone in the park she gave him a look, didn't get why. Then she corrected him that she does not run around the park and that she runs to Marseille and back. "Oh..." He blankly said to her and then she went on about some more correcting facts. Which the new added facts made him smile off before he laughed entertained. "Sounds invigorating." He remarked since it sounded like so much to run all the way to Marseille, then run some track then bat up girls. He took his hands out of his pockets and set them on his hips. He was showing some interest in what she was saying and smiled. Simply and innocent joking around would happen, he knew it, before he would go into the hardcore flirting stance. This moment was amazing already since he had full control over what he did and said. There was no Kynan or Bae to step him off of their little sister like a couple of bouncers at a nightclub.
Those two were his good friends but at the same time he did feel, a little, like they hated him. He did not get that he was trending on their territory of the females at school, innocent boy rivalry. Back to what he was doing, he smiled when he asked about her brothers whereabouts and matched it with batting off boys. His blue eyes looked at her in some wonderment since he was now hit with curiosity. Did she not know who she was? A Hathaway. Blonde, blue eyed and very very well put together for her being her age. Her twin brothers were popular and ruled the school along with Erik. He could not understand why she can not see that she would be wanted just because her status and name. Was the reason why he was all interested but hell he was not going to admit that. "Naw I meant boys. I don't think you seen a mirror lately but trust me I think the boys are all over you. If they are not then I guess I am the only boy who is sane to see how gorgeous you are." He remarked, score one for him, he smiled to her to show he was being sincere.
Well his sense of showing off he was being truthful with his words. She then said something about girls crowding around them and he laughed a little. "Ah the plastic girls who crowd around me and try to get me interested in their very boring lives." He shrugged to the comment since he was kind of stating that he doesn't care about the 'fan girls.' Though this was a complete lie he did like the attention and especially from the ladies. He was going to say something else when all of a sudden she said his name and he blinked. Yeah he was right there in front of him why did she need to yell his name so surprised. Then he noticed she was not even looking at him so his eyes flickered down to what she was talking about next. A flower? So what there was a flower there and he tilted his head to the side. He had not a clue he did that since he did not have a clue he had powers at all.
When she turned around asking him how he did it he looked at her like she was crazy. "Me!? I didn't do nothing." He remarked out to her in a normal tone of voice and even more sincere then how his voice sounded before. There was no way he was doing this so he denied it. When she asked him to do it again he looked at her sternly then he answered slowly. "Wyn I didn't do anything. That was probably there the whole entire time. I'm not tainted." He said to her and looked at her calmly then he smiled slowly since this was silly of her to say such a thing. "Maybe all the running has got you delusional? Should sit down in the shade of that tree over there. Come on." His hand went off his hip to grab onto her wrist. He was convinced she was maybe just tired or something and needed to rest. So he guided them over to the tree slowly and he did not sit but leaned against the trunk of the tree. He let go of her wrist then motioned her to sit down or something.

"Naw I meant boys. I don't think you seen a mirror lately but trust me I think the boys are all over you. If they are not then I guess I am the only boy who is sane to see how gorgeous you are."
Oh. Well. Erik O'Donovan certainly had practice with chatting up girls, didn't he? Wyn averted her clear blue eyes away from him, to the ground. She felt ever so slightly nervous. She didn't talk to boys, especially cute ones like Erik O'Donovan. She was usually too shy to. Or usually, she was just being herself, being mischievous and such. It was her nature. And her motto. Stay alone and you'll get on fine, because nobody could sabotage you or back stab you. It was why she didn't like being like Ky and Bae, or even Brody, because they all had friends, and eventually they would get betrayed and-
Wow. She was pessimistic. Really very pessimistic.
And she couldn't think of anything to say to that remark.
She ignored this statement of Erik's, and pretended not to see the sincere smile, instead scratching the side of her head awkwardly and looking away. She glanced at the trees, then down at herself, suddenly realizing how much sweat she had worked up just standing there in the sun. She would like to go into the shade, where is was cool and stuff, and when Erik suggested it, she nodded quickly, agreeing. As he gripped her wrist and tugged her along, Wyn did not fight against the pull. Yes. She DID feel weak. it must have been an illusion. A delusion. Those flowers had been there the whole time. And going into the shade would do her some good. But she could not help but look at the small yellow flowers as she slid to the ground...
And she could not help but slip the flower she had in her hand into the pocket of her tights.
Wyn looked up at Erik, blue eyes curious. Why would he want to talk to... her?

Erik smiled when her eyes dropped away from him after his well thought out compliment to her and kept his gaze up. Giving her the full attention he has not been doing at school for the obvious reasons. One he was too busy to flirt with some 15 year old when there were other hotties his own age and older wanting him. Two his best friends would make sure he would not even look at Wyn the way he was now. So this chance to be alone was a once in a lifetime chance he thought. Wouldn't be well if the two twin troublemakers showed up at all or even worst, the older brother. Man Erik would dart so fast in the direction of home and he doubt either one of the three would be able to catch up. Sometimes it was an advantage being an athlete since he could easily run away if trouble came. His head tilted to the side as he caught the drift she was so nervous right now.
He did not know how he read some females so easily but he can tell. Guess she was not used to being noticed or being called out on how she looked, or even got a compliment before in her lifetime. He already knew she was a shy one which is why this was so much fun calling her out right now. Picking up on her, her eating it like candy, which he knew the charm would eventually win. After his compliment she was being too abnormally quiet which he was starting to worry that he said it wrong. Or maybe he lost her in her own mind or something. He was not sure but she did shout something about him doing something with flowers. All he had to do was the earnest little smile then tell her no he was not the one doing that. Since there was no way he could be the one doing that, talk about thick headed, because he didn't have powers.
"Yeah you need to rest or something. Might be dehydrated?" He suggested some more after suggesting she sat down in the shade to cool off or something. He thought she was maybe overly worked or something to think him doing something. Mind trick probably, he was not sure, but he knew it was not him who did the flowers. Course he was in denial since out of all the powers in the whole world, no way he would have some pansy power like his mother. Leading her away from the sidewalk off to the side in the shade of a nicely sized tree he ordered her to sit down. Good thing the grass was abnormally alive today despite the cold weather so they wouldn't sit in an ice patch. He did not sit down he just went leaned up against the tree. No reason for him to sit down he was not tired at all and was in an amazingly good mood. His eyes looked up to the sky for a moment and loved how clear the sky was this evening.
The sun was to set soon which is why the colors of the sky were turning more of an orange color. After observing for a moment he pulled out his phone to check the time, habit, then slide it away after seeing numbers he did not even analyze at all. His eyes finally glanced to her again as she was playing with one of the flowers in her hand, silly girl. But hey girls liked flowers and that was a known fact that they liked pretty flowers so heck let her be entertained. When she looked up at him curiously he then felt the need to sit down right next to her. He was close, he smiled off thinking about what to say at all but didn't know what she was thinking. "You normally this quiet?" He finally piped up and let out a small laugh after. She was quiet which he was trying to get her out of her little anti-social bubble. This was going to take some work but he was willing to do it since he did have all night till curfew to stay out.

& JUSTBECAUSEIDON'TTALK
Wyn looked down, away from the clear blue eyes, away from the dark hair and the smile. She had suddenly realized something - that he thought he could charm her. Did he think she was stupid? She was smarter than most girls her age, maybe smarter than kids older than her. She had common sense, she had logic, she had attitude.
But if he wanted to play, she would play too. And then she could see what he really thought of her. She had a pretty good idea already, and so it would only take one wrong move and she would punch him in the face. And of course, tell her siblings about it later. Ky would be so proud... maybe. She smirked without realizing it.
She let her hand drift towards her pockets, taking the flower out, twisting it between her fingers. It smelled nice. It was bright yellow, it was the color of sunshine on a rainy day. Wyn stroked it with one finger, then stuck it back in her pocket again. They just stayed there, silently. It was really boring, but Wyn pretended to be lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, Erik asked her if she was always this quiet. She gave him a sincere-ish smile.
'Yeah. I don't talk to people, yano?' Wyn smiled, then frowned. 'No, you don't know. You have lots of friends. I have my brothers and kid sisters.' She smiled almost sadly and turned her face away, faking a little sniffle. Hohoho. She would see how he reacted.
