Beliefs: Maddie doesn’t know what to believe. She knows her niece and nephew are gifted, and sometimes she worries for them, but she doesn’t quite understand the reasons behind whom or what they are. She wants to though, and has no shame in pestering them or their friends with semi-reasonable questions.

Eyes: Maddie’s eyes are darkest brown and extremely expressional. This feature more than any other runs in the female genes of the Page family. Slightly almond shaped and verging on the larger side of normal, her ebony orbs are at once warm and threatening. She usually frames them with a black pencil and a moderate helping of black mascara. She’s not a fan of heavy make up, but she does appreciate how the simple touches like these can make her eyes even more distinguished.
Hair: Her natural hair is a mousy brown and poker straight, but ever since her teenage years, Maddie has kept it white-blonde and in a style that could easily be called pixie-like. Its fun, flirty, and not nearly as serious as her natural hair. She keeps it short when she can, not boyishly so, but never long enough to touch her shoulders, or even reach past her chin. That being said, for what it lacks in length it makes up for in thickness. It’s usually carelessly styled and effortlessly appealing because of it.

Distinguishing Features: Underneath her hairline just behind her right ear, Maddie has a birthmark in the form of an irregular patch of darker skin. Its never bothered her and never hindered her short hair styles despite the fact that having her hair so short shows it off more. She also has her navel pierced and hsa had it since she was a teenager and in one of her many rebellious stages.
Other: Maddie’s style is far from fashionable. She wears what’s comfortable to her, usually well worn jeans and considerably feminine tops. She’s not afraid of colour, but tends to lean towards the muted end of the spectrum, with pale blues, pinks, purples, and the occasional darker shade for good measure. She’s as comfortable in converse as she is in mary-janes, and has a stock pile of shorts and skirts and summer dresses should the weather change.

History:
Madeline was born into a very awkward family. There were her parents, already into their forties, and her sister, Rose, who was 23 years old at the time. There was also her brother-in-law Olivier, and her nephew; two and a half year old Blaize. At the time her extended family were living their own lives in the south of France and Maddie was raised solely by their parents in the south east of England. Her childhood was normal… more normal than normal… it was boring. She learned how to play the piano and won medals for it… then got bored and gave it up in her teens. She failed PE just like everyone else, and she loved books that weren’t on her school curriculum.

The only excitement that came in her younger life was the news that her sister had given birth to another child, this time a daughter, when Maddie was five years old. She can still remember the visit her and their parents spent with that part of their family, her heart cherishing more than anything the fact that they were going somewhere far away, like in the fairytales!

As the years passed visits back and forth became frequent and she seen her niece (and ‘nephew’) maybe once every year or two. At sixteen she finished school, and for the first time she was free. She flew alone to San not long after she got the permission to, and stayed for several months with her sister’s family at the cosy inn they ran. Soon though she became restless and set off with the promise to her younger niece that she’d send a postcard from every place she visited on her travels. She still visited when she was passing through which happened every year or so, and to this day she knows she has a home there.

The last time she was in san was about a year ago, and now her wandering feet have carried her back to the cherished little town, baring gifts and tales from her most recent adventure.
