Lovyl sat on a hill, the cool grass chilling his body. But he didn't care, Squint sat waiting for the cracker that Lovyl held pinched between his fingers. Lovyl could hear the rats anxious sniffs and he cracked a smile, he lowered the cracker for his pet to nibble at. Squint pounced grabbing the cracker out of Lovyl's hand and nibbling loudly at the tiny cracker. He leaned back looking up at the sky, wishing that his eyes weren't clouded over and that he could see the tiny points of light of the stars and the brightness of the moon. Lovyl missed it, and he knew he always would.
Lovyl heard footsteps, but ignored it. There was enough noises for him to not care, he didn't assume it was someone coming to attack him. He would win anyways, his heightened senses abled him to keep up with the movements of his attacker. Lovyl smirked, reminded of the old comic DareDevil. Lovyl shook his head slightly a chuckle escaping his lips.
Squint finished his cracker and Lovyl reached into his messenger bag. He pawed through the bag and pulled out a crinkly plastic bag of sour gummy worms. He bit most of the worm off and passed a small amount to Squint. "I heard someone today Squint..." Lovyl whispered chewing the sour gummy. "Her voice was absoulutly divine, and you know my hearing Squint. Normally voices are annoying, but hers..." Lovyl let out a quiet sigh. "Oh what do you care, you just want more crackers..." He muttered with a grin.

It really got annoying sticking in her house in the late hour. Mainly because she hated being alone. Guinevere's father was on a date tonight, for once he wasn't working late... but he was on a date. It sort of irritated her and made her want to punch a wall for the fact her father was giving another woman a chance. Why? Guin still heard her mother's voice in her head every few days, it made it easier to actually realize she was dead... but her father wanted to open his mind to other women and didn't want his wife's voice in his head. Yet, he didn't have the problem of hearing dead people. Sometimes she thought her father wasn't around the house that much because he reminded him of his wife to much, so did Guin. She looked just like her mother and acted just like her, as her father put it. She was stubborned, kind-hearted, knowledgeable, quiet.. and all together she was just that beauty that hide away from everybody. Guin's mother was just like that... which made her happier than ever when she thought about it. Her mother was always a person who would be a good role model, and it was just relaxing with the thought she was living inside herself. Guin was weird though... other people thought that too, she knew it.
After flipping the television stations a few times, she was already getting bored. Popping some popcorn into her mouth every few seconds, she paid attention to what was on the t.v. Really why was all the old shows on late at night. They were boring. Some where entertaining, but the boring ones were on right now. She really needed to find something else to do with her time. Glancing at the clock and back at the t.v., she shut it off with the remote. Standing up, she slipped a brown jacket around her shoulders and slipped some flats onto her feet. She was wearing some prairie skirt that was sort of long, it hit right above her knees. She was reading a light blue tee shirt also, which clinged to her skinny body. She looked pretty good, but she didn't care. Appearances were nothing in her mind, even though Guin was very pretty.
Leaving her house with the keys, she locked the door behind herself. Flipping the keys as she walked she decided to hit up the local park. That would be the best bet. There were some voices that needed help there anyways, maybe she will help them out tonight. She had nothing better to do. As she walked along the road, she took a left turn into the park. Guin was twirling her keys still, just being bored. Being stupid with them though, she flipped them a last time and they feel out of her hands. Now where did they go? She walked around in the dark, searching the ground for the keys. Hearing a voice up, talking about a girl... she raised an eyebrow. Was that in her head or real life? Putting her hands on the grounds and knelling she felt around for the keys until she found them and thus followed the voice. It wasn't in her head for once, it was a real person. It was a blond boy, he went to school with her. A smile formed. "What are you doing out here late night?" Her voice was soft, just like how her personality was. She never spoke up very loud anyways. She hoped the boy could hear her.

Lovyl listened to the enhanced sound of the keys jingling and turned his head slightly to the side so he could listen better all though it wasn't needed. He had heard her but didn't really put a thought to it until she spoke. He looked in her direction and froze, that voice, her voice, that was the voice he loved, the quiet shy voice. Lovyl scurried up his pants and started to climb his shirt, there was no way he could stop the tiny rat. Most people thought it was gross that he had a pet rat. People knew he was blind and they wouldn't believe him when he said that the rat understood him better than anyone else. He quietly shifted and the rat ran under his jacket collar and nestled against his neck. He heard her voice but his mouth had gone dry he couldn't bring himself to answer the simple question. Lovyl sighed and looked away from her swallowing and opening his mouth to speak. "Thinking." He stated with a small shrug.
He stood carefully keeping his eyes hidden, he figured she probably knew about his blindness it wasn't a secret however he hated the fact that he couldn't see her. "What about you, why are you out so late?" he spoke softly. A small cool night breeze rushed past him making his bangs blow into the air and he was sure that she would have caught sight of the milky film over his once light blue eyes. He shook his head swiftly feeling Squint twitch slightly. His bangs fell over his eyes and he let himself crack a small lop-sided grin. Another cool breeze pulled at his hair and luckily it just swayed and went back to it's original position on his head.
He realized he had lowered his head, almost like he was ashamed of his blindness. He lifted his hand without realizing it and ran his thumb and forefinger over the locket around his neck. He closed his eyes and his hand fell back to his side, after a few moments of silence he raised his head so if he could see he would be looking right at her. He could hear her breath and his own caught in his chest. He bit down lightly on his cheek and wondered if he could possibly just ask her out, they didn't know much about each other, and because of his blindness who was he kidding she wouldn't take a second look. He realized that he didn't know her name, just her voice. "What's your name?" He breathed nervously.

It must have been a thinking party. So she wasn't the only one who was escaping the confines of a house to actually get her mind off of things by thinking them through. Guin was just trying to think about her mother, she really hoped she heard her mother tonight or even someone who didn't yell at her or scared her half to death. It was just awkward trying to have a conversation with someone while someone was in your head screaming profane things at you. It was just the most awkward thing in her whole life. Guin couldn't take it at times and was seriously tempted to just tell her father that she was insane so that he could just send her to a loony bin. Yet, there were other people around just like her and dealing with those problems like hers. She just needed to toughen up and act like a big girl and control those powers. Hearing his voice, she dragged her pale greenish-blue eyes at him. "Oh-- me--," The words didn't come out of her mouth that easily... they were still soft but she always had problems talking to people. Andrew, who was close to her best friend, was the only person who really could get Guin to talk without stuttering once. It was just hard for her to socialize at all. Books were her friends. They didn't make fun of people or even caused problems with people, they were her escape. People were far too rude, but she cannot complain she was sarcastic at most times. "-- just thinking too. I needed a break from my house."
With a soft voice coming into her head, she closed her eyes slightly at the sound and opened them once more. Now they started to come to talk to her. It was just murmurs, nothing really noticeable. She was pretty glad about that actually. When they started to get loud she always had a habit of speaking to them, well back to them. That is why a lot of people thought she was insane... mainly because she spoke to the voices in her head. They were dead people though. Nothing wrong with speaking to dead people.
Taking a hand up to her hair she tucked the pale blonde curls behind her ear. It went silent once more, until he spoke up. With a smile, she spoke up. "Guinevere Denton. Most people I talk to call me Guin though." The blond boy did go to school with her, but she really never spoke to him or even known his name. "Yours?" She raised an eyebrow. It was only right to get his name now since he wanted hers. He was very awkward around her though, so at least she wasn't alone in that field. He kept looking down and everything. When he did look at her he had some pretty eyes, she knew he was blind by the look of them. She knew one other blind person and hung around him most of the time when her best friend was dating him. There was nothing wrong with blind people in her mind. She preferred not to ask them what happened though, she found it rude. Guin was far from rude.

Lovyl shifted slightly from foot to foot and looked in her direction with a serious look on his face. He kept his face serious and debated on speaking right away, but he was too transfixed on her breathing. His own breath was shallow and as he listened to hers he could feel a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach, and it ached. He longed to know what she looked like, to put her beautiful voice to a face. He wanted to know everything about her, but something was holding him back, perhaps it was the awe he was in and the fact he couldn't get out of it made him want to whimper. He felt caged, but he could say bye and leave, he could make that choice and leave her be. It wouldn't be that hard. Not really, just say that he had to go and turn and leave. But he couldn't, he had to talk, he had to hear a response. "Well, Guin." He paused testing the name on his lips. "My name is Lovyl Cormac." He told her with a sweet smile. He poked the lump beside his neck. "This little lump is Squint, you don't have to look at him if you don't want too... most people hate rats." He closed his eyes and grinned.
He rubbed the back of his neck and wondered if he did anything if it would be taken as something odd. He'd been practicing with his enhanced hearing and figured that if he whistled he'd be able to do what bats do. He let out a low whistle and it bounced off solid objects and came back to him. He sighed when nothing happened, it would never work well if he stopped practicing and he wouldn't stop. "Sorry, I tend to whistle when I'm nervous..." He stated trying to cover up his oddness.
Another cool breeze came across the park and sent a chill up Lovyl's spine and he shook slightly caught off guard. He reached up and rubbed at his hair to get it to stay down over his eyes. He sighed quietly and shoved his hands in his pockets. "Well anyway Guin, what do you do for fun around here?" He asked with a smirk. He never really talked to anyone so pretty much he just hung out by himself. "The most I do is walk, there has got to be more fun things to do than that?" He chuckled and he unconciously ran a hand through his hair making his eyes noticeable again, he shook his head and it fell back down over his eyes.

[[ Eh... I'm assuming that Ky and Guin know each other already. ]]
Somewhere else, where normal ears certainly couldn't reach, someone was singing. Or 'singing', rather, because Kynan couldn't carry a tune to save his life. He knew it, deep down, after all, he had been told by more than enough people before that he should stop singing before they shut him up permanently, but his ego was just above all those petty insults. So despite the fact that somewhere deep down in his soul he knew that he was a dreadful singer, he still did all the time, because it was easy to convince himself that he wasn't all that bad. Not great, just not horrible either. But to tell the truth, he really was. He was loud too. It was one of his finer gifts, to be loud, obnoxious and annoying in every possible way, and Kynan never wasted an opportunity to use this spectacular gift to its utmost potential.
So here the blonde was, walking down the street and warbling away to himself. He had no real destination, he just didn't want to go home yet. Going home would mean facing his father, and well, after seeing the shitty moods that barbarian had been in these past few nights, it was probably safer to go back much later, when he'd had so much to drink that he'd passed out. So after school, he had bummed around, as one did, and was now making his way home, slowly, going around in a much longer route, and doing some exercise by walking, slowly back to the Hathaway manor.
As he came to the park, some fifteen minutes later, he heard the sound of voices, and he saw two figures outlined in the moonlit night. One was... vaguely human shaped, and the other, well, that one was pretty human shaped too. It was hard to tell at night. Deciding that they were humans, and not some alien lifeform, he approached them, and as he did so, he recognised the voice of one of the human shaped blobs. A pretty young lady from school, one Guinevere Denton, if he wasn't mistaken, and Kynan Hathaway was never mistaken when it came to girls. It was an unbreakable law of nature.
A mischievous grin appeared on the boy's face, and a familiar sight of seeing the world around him go dull in colour greeted his eyes. He ran up to the girl, clapped his hands over her eyes, and pulled her back against him, a wide grin on his face as the stasis ended and colour returned to the world around him. "Guess who!"

"Pleasure meeting you Lovyl and Squint." She smiled at Squint, then spoke up. "I think he is adorable, how long have you had him?" A sentence formed without a force into the words. Personally, Guin thought people who were able to keep pets were a lot more responsible than her. If she ever had a pet it would die. Plus they were to messy for her. She heard that rats were very tidy, but she still wouldn't trust them. Cleaning and keeping things neat was her best trait. She had a disorder called Obsession Compulsive Disorder, along with being a perfectionist. Normally counting or even doing things in multiples was how she dealt with stress or even other things in life. Keeping things in a nice neat order came to her naturally also. Most people just found it odd, her father found not to mess up anything in her order in her house. Guin's father learned quickly how to actually deal with life with not touching the items and keeping them in a certain place. He had to learn quickly. Guin would just keep yelling at him about it and he just learned to deal with not touching them or putting them back in place.
He was nervous? Guin smiled softly. "Its fine." At least he didn't stutter. Jim stuttered when he was nervous. It was cute though. She never met anybody who would whistle when they were nervous. Whistling was a thing that she used when she wanted to get someone's attention. That was rare though. Hiding was easily than actually getting people's attention. Feeling a cold breeze Guinevere crossed her arms a little tighter keeping her warmth. She hated cold breezes. Sometimes they would come up right when a voice would pop into her head. Just a clue that the dead were around. She was glad that no voice came into her head just then. That would make her jump, unexpected voices suck. Lovyl's voice came back at her, she drew her attention back at him. What did she do around here for fun. "Well, I read a lot but I really don't do a lot of fun thi-" She didn't get to finish. Someone put their hands over her eyes and pulled her against him. Really, she hated it when people touched her but she knew this voice. There was only a few people in the world who would do that, Kynan was one of them. Guin played hard to get though. "Um-- Bob the builder?" She smirked gently, turning around seeing the blond boy that she knew all to well.
"Hello Kynan." She hated the fact he interrupted her, but it was fine. She was almost done with the sentence anyways. Thinking about it, was it sort of everybody late night party at the park or something? It was like everybody was there tonight. Must been a lot of people thinking.

((Can't log in, it says I'm logged in but it's being stupid....))
He was about to answer her question when he heard the footsteps of someone else, he wasn't quite sure who it was and decided to keep quiet, there was no use in telling her. The person wanted to sneak up on her and they would if they wanted. He mumbled the answer not sure if she would hear. "3 years..." He tilted his head to the side and blinked slowly his ears straining to see if he could recognize the footsteps and the breathing. But nothing. He felt slightly annoyed with that fact and the next thing he knew he heard her say "Bob the Builder." Lovyl held back a smirk and realized that he was about to find out who the person really was.
When he heard the name he froze slightly, half annoyed, half shocked. He frowned and deep inside his body he could feel the warmth of either embarrassment of anger. Or possibly even both. He shoved his hands in his pockets and Squint nuzzled against his neck. Lovyl took in a quiet breath and wondered if he could say anything that would bring her attention back to him. Then he decided, no, he wouldn't be rude. So he waited keeping his thoughts around him but his main focus on Kynan.
Kynan... he knew the name, heard the people talk of him. There was no use in competing against him. Kynan would win eventually, but he went through girls, used them then discarded them. Lovyl narrowed his eyes hoping that if Kynan noticed he might look intimidating. But the fact that he would be handicapped if a fight broke out slightly worried the blind teen. Lovyl bit down on the inside of his cheek and tried to think what he could to to possibly make himself known to Kynan.
Lovyl shifted his feet giving the two time to talk, he would have walked away but he wasn't going to leave Guin alone with Kynan, sure Kynan wouldn't try anything but there is always the possibility. Lovyl debated on clearing his throat and instead just took a hand out of his pocket and ran his slender finger up and down Squint's nose. He murmured slightly to the rat but he knew that neither Guin nor Kynan would have heard him speak.

"Bob the builder?"
Kynan chuckled. He was hopeless at fixing things. He was the anti-Bob-the-builder. His skill lay in wrecking things, not fixing them. And he wouldn't have it any other way. Life was much more fun his way. Anyone with the slightest bit of common sense knew that it was better to wreck than to fix. It gave you that warm fuzzy feeling inside as you watched someone else's creation crumble before your might. Well, that was how Kynan felt about it anyway. Granted, few other people probably felt that way, but he was unique. Very unique.
He matched the blonde girl's quirky grin and gave her a tight hug. "So, what brings you to this little corner of the world tonight? You're not staying away from an angry abusive father with no-one to get his hands on as well are you?" Had she ever told him about her family history? Dunno, he didn't remember it at any rate, but there was a possibility. His father had to have other evil friends somewhere who were in cahoots with him. Maybe Denton was one.
Someone shuffled a bit, and it was then that Kynan remembered the other fuzzy human-shaped blob. Looking around, he saw another boy, who until now, had remained rather silent. What was up with him? Who was he anyway? Kynan could quite easily swear on whatever you wanted him to swear on that he had never seen this kid before in his life. The fact that they went to the same school seemed to entirely escape the boy's notice at this point. "Hullooo..." he waved his hand in Lovyl's face, leaning down with one arm around Guin's shoulder, effectively dragging her down a bit too. "Who are you? Guin! Are you cheating on me with this kid!?" he exclaimed in mock horror. He and Guin certainly weren't anything official. They just hung out a bit, flirted a bit, played with each other a bit. But they weren't official or anything.

((gotta love lame computers...))
Lovyl felt Squint squirm slightly when Kynan waved his hand in front of Lovyl's face, and practically yelled "Hullo" in his face. Lovyl bit back his annoyance and turned his head to avoid the staring when Kynan realized that he couldn't "see" his hand moving in front of him, the only way Lovyl knew that motion was because there was wind given off from him and practically everyone did that anyways. Lovyl gritted his teeth together at the annoucement and jealously surged through his body. He debated on leaving quickly and he frowned slightly and turned to look back at Kynan and Guin.
"My name's Lovyl, and there is no point in yelling at me, I can hear just find. However waving your hand in front of my face won't work at all." He muttered the last part not sure if Kynan would hear it but he shrugged.
From the words that Kynan had said he was gullible enough not to notice the surprise and instead believed the whole sentence. He raised his head so he was looking straight ahead, maybe towards someone maybe not depending on how tall each of them was.
"Are you two..." He paused and realized he didn't really want to say but figured he must. "a couple?" He asked.
