((OOC: TWO PAGES!! WHOOT!!))
Izar smiled that Masinori was taking pity on him at least a little bit. "I agree, I am amazing." He winked and laughed. He hooked his eyes on the sink as everyone finished their meal and the plates all stacked themselves neatly and the silverwear was pilled next to the sink. His mother moved to the sink and caught a stray cup not wanting it to accidently fall. "I have to say I've gotten better. I don't chase people with silverwear anymore." He chuckled remembering the time he chased his foster brother around the house. "I really don't know how good I am." He shrugged remembering the battle with the pyro, he still had that raw power locked away and maybe he could use it to his advantage in the race.
Izar chewed on his lip. He knew how much Masinori wante to be with him and Izar wanted to be with Masinori just as much, "We'll see." He said indecisively. Izar couldn't believe that his father had brought up that. So he didn't like cars, so what, and that had been at least ten years ago. Izar turned on Masinori, "Don't encourage him." He said his face buring at Masinori's 'awww'. He really didn't like his father right now. Izar laughed and shrugged, "Why not? Someone needs to see what's faster. The wind or that thing you call a car." Izar said turning a teasing eye on his father, happy for the change in subject. His father simply snorted. "Bring it bird brain." Izar squeezed Masinori hand lovingly and smiled his eyes brightening.
Izar smiled endearingly at Masinori's offer. "No, no, Masi!" His mother said quickly. "You are a guest in this house." As if reading Izar's thoughts she turned to him pointing, "You, Mr. I won't call for two year, are not, clean. Now." Izar was taken aback. "I said I was sorry," he whined. He squeezed his hand then stood to start scrubbing. He paused at the water. He scrubbed each plate out of the sink to avoid wetting his hands. Izar looked back over and then glanced out the window. It was still early and the sun was out and shinning, "I can see alright in the light. Dad?" He looked over then nodded, “I’m up for it, you’re not tired or anything?” Izar shook his head. “Masinori, I have a surprise for you. But it’ll have to wait until after the race.” He said with a beaming smile. He placed the last plate in the dish washer and closed it with a bump from his hip.

((OOC: Oh sweet, we rule the world once again ^_^))
Masinori laughed and looked at Izar’s father, “Hence why I said can,” he joked. The plates were moved, compliments of Izar, from the table to the sink. Masinori smirked, a knowing glint in his eyes, Izar was just showing off now. He felt proud of him though. “You look pretty good to me.” Masinori said calmly, looking at the plates, he blushed when he realized what he had said. “I mean, with your ability.” He added, then bit his lip and hoped they didn’t catch that, even though it wasn’t that bad anyway. He squeezed Izar’s hand a little. “I’ll live, but you have to call me or come see me as soon as you get back.”
Izar squeezed his hand back, he really loved him. His mother refused his offer to help with the dishes, but Izar was directed to do so in his place. Which was just as bad because he still had to let go of his hand. He watched him as he did, and could tell he was trying to get his hands wet as little as possible. He felt bad, but also found it adorable, much like everything else about him. There he was, with this big sword at his hip and this look that some would consider shocking or extreme, scrubbing dishes and cringing at the water. Not that it made him cowardly, that of course was the last thing in the world Masi thought of him. It was just charming.
He blinked, “A surprise?” He asked, taken aback. Of course he’d have to wait until later. It was one of Masinori’s pet peeves. To be told by someone that they had something to tell you, but wouldn’t tell you until later. Leaving you in suspense, to wonder what said ‘something’ was. “You always do that…he always does that…” He said, slightly exasperated because he wanted to know what it was. He seemed to enjoy the fact that he was leaving Masinori in suspense, judging by the smile stretched across his face. When he smiled like that, he could wait for anything. Izar finished with the dishes, and Masinori was glad. When he came back, he quickly took his hand again.
“I hate surprises. Is that why you‘re doing this?” Masinori was usually a very composed and rational person. He behaved very adult and proper, but when it came to things like this, he was more like a curious bird, pecking at a hole until it got the worm. He’d ask questions and whine until he either figured out what it was that was being kept from him, or was told. It was probably due to the fact that he was so good at reading people and usually knew what they were thinking, or what they were all about. And of course because he could see their dreams, that helped quite a bit. But when he didn’t, when he couldn’t figure something out or it was being intentionally kept from him, he just had to know. “You should just tell me.” He said sweetly.

((OOC: XDXD yes we do! ^__^))
Izar smiled at Masinori's comment. He made a small noise of disbelief, "And here I though you were on my side." He grinned at Masinori's correction. He wanted to hug Masinori so badly right now but he was unsure about how his parents felt about it. Even though they had said they were fine with it Izar could see that his father was still having a hard time accepting it. Izar felt a twinge of guilt he wanted to be with Masinori as he drove home but he hated cars so much. He chewed his lip still debating with himself. "I will. You can count on that." He smiled and winked. He chewed at his lip ring in frustration. He had to make sacrifices for Masinori. Masinori had already done so much for him. He'd even put him back together that night when he thought that he would be in bed forever. He remembered the pain and the emotion, he had never dreamed that Masinori would come rescue him like that.
He frowned at having to leave Masinori but he was more afraid of another lecture. He leaned against the counter when he was done standing almost as tall as his mother. He quickly and thoroughly toweled his hands dry. The water was like a poison. He pretended it didn't exist as he leaned there. It's scent made his throat close up and he had to remind himself to breath. He looked over at Masinori and sighed heavily. He brushed his hair out of his eyes and waited to see Masinori's reaction. He knew that Masinori hated suspense and didn't like to have to wait. Izar did it on purpose sometimes. He grinned and winked.
It had the desired effect. Izar laughed and nodded excitedly, "A surprise." He repeated. His smile widened at Masinori's reaction. Izar stuck his tongue out and laughed, "Me?" He asked making an innocent face. He went back to his seat and squeezed Masinori's hand his grin widening. Izar avoided looking directly at him. Masinori had the best pouting face. It made Izar go weak and spill his thoughts out to Masinori. It made him want to tell Masinori every thought that was passing through his mind. That was how Masinori had gotten him to tell him about his wings the first time, instead of waiting that face had melted away Izar's defenses. Not this time. Izar was ready this would remain a secret at least until later.
Izar shrugged and smiled. "Perhaps." Was all he said risking a quick glance at Masinori. Izar knew how Masinori could get about things like this. He was insanely curious and even more persistent to get a straight answer. Izar when he felt like it could hold his own against it. His father stood and Izar smiled having something else to focus on. "Alright, if we want to get there we'd better leave now. You flying?" Izar stood pulling Masinori with him. "Nah, I think I can handle a few minutes. Besides you just want me to be tired." He said giving his father a suspicious look. He looked at Masinori and smiled he wanted to hug him tightly. "You should just wait." He smiled looking away before Masinori could persuade him otherwise. Izar sighed as they left the house.
His eyes fell on the car and he chewed his lip ring again. His hand tightened on Masinori's. There ti was. The death trap. He climbed in ahead of Masinori and closed his eyes, trying to keep himself calm. He reminded himself that it was only a short way and he had made this trip several times before. He didn't open his eyes when they were all it and refused to open them until his feet were safely on the ground.

((OOC: Bold is either Japanese or pretend Japanese lol))
“Tsuneni,” He assured him, “I am.” Izar was chewing on his lip thoughtfully, “Don’t think about it too hard.” He joked. He knew Izar was torn and didn’t want him to feel bad just because he was overly clingy. He didn’t want to make him do something against his will, especially not for selfish reasons. He had to remind himself on an daily, no hourly, basis that Izar wasn’t going anywhere. He figured as time went on he’d learn to cope with having his own life separate from him but also shared with him, but for now he just wanted to spend every moment in his arms, next to him, looking at him, or thinking about him. Being in love was a lot to handle for someone who had never been in love, it was maddening.
Izar acted mock-coy and stuck his tongue out. His grip tightened on his hand, but he wasn’t caving even though Masinori was looking as desperate as he could. He almost forgot about Izar’s parents now that he was thinking about this secret surprise. He remembered when Izar’s father stood up and said they’d ought to get going. He stood up and took Masi with him. “I have no choice then but to do as you say.” Masinori said, resigned. He followed everyone outside, not sure what to expect. He noticed Izar chewing on his lip ring again, and he briefly took his other hand and placed it over the one he was already holding to encourage him. When they sat in the car Izar’s eyes were tightly shut, and Masinori stayed holding his hand while his parents were in the front seat.
“I want to kiss you so badly.” Masinori said in Japanese, quietly but casually. He realized after he’d said always earlier that this was a good option. His English wasn’t the best in the world, and he had a pretty thick accent, so maybe it would seem quite natural to his parents that he’d speak his own language to Izar. He wasn’t entirely sure Izar understood everything he said sometimes, he had started speaking English at a much younger age than Masi, but he had a habit of throwing in a word here and there. “It’s been, what? A whole hour? Don’t be afraid. I wont let anything happen to you.” He tried to comfort him, he could tell he was shaken by being in the car.
There had been two occasions of riding in a vehicle with Izar. One was when they rode his motorcyle to get out of the storm, and the second was Eben’s car to escape the warehouse. Both times Izar was in mortal peril and had no other choice. The second time he probably wasn’t even coherent enough to be frightened. Masinori felt mild surprise, especially because he had such a high opinion of Izar’s bravery. Even so, he was sitting there dealing with it. “Kandoushita, you’re such a brave person, you always try to conquer the things you fear.” He said, shaking his head in admiration. "Akiramenaide. Yuuki o dashite. Kibou o motte!" He said this in a sort of chant to make him laugh and feel better.
((I'm so Impressed...keep trying, be brave, BE AMBITIOUS! lol wonder what that's from :X))

((OOC: ok!!! I'll steal the bold thing too ^__^))
Izar grinned and felt very much like tackling Masinori. Izar shrugged, "I guess." He shook his head still unsure. He looked at Masinori and again the rest of the world disappeared and he was the only thing that mattered. He'd never been in love before, he wondered if this was normal. He wondered again if he was crazy, but quickly dismissed the thought. His father asked if they should go now and his gaze broke on Masinori and the rest of the world came back into view. He gave Masinori a look and his grin widened. He wasn't going to break this time. "Hai, that's basically it." He said as Masinori stopped trying to find out what it was and followed him to the car.
He chewed on his lip ring obsessively. He paused as Masinori put his other hand over his. He smiled feeling slightly relieved. He held his eyes tightly shut and he felt Masinori's hand on him. It was warm and it made hi heart rate calm. Every time the car him a bump he cringed and waited for certain death. He took a deep breath and dared to open his eyes. He saw the road rushing by and imagined how the wind would feel over his wings. That made it a little better but then the car swayed as though it was unsteady and he closed his eyes again to keep from having a heart attack. People always saw car accidents that were so horrible it was amazing that the car had in fact ever been a car at all. He wondered if that was why he didn't like them or if it was just that he felt trapped where he couldn't spread his wings.
Izar smiled only half registering that Masinori was speaking in Japanese. "Me too," Izar said tilting his head toward Masinori's voice not wanting to open his eyes again. Izar sighed and squeezed his hand. "I'll try," he said then he cracked his silver eyes open to look at Masinori, "I trust you," he said switching to Japanese. If he looked at Masinori some of his fear waned. He grinned as Masinori made his feel so much better, "You make me feel..." He searched for the word, he had learned English when he was ten and had lost a lot of his Japanese, "Unafraid," he said in English finally. "A little bit." He said holding up his free hand and making a small space between his pointer finger and thumb.
Izar shrugged not really sure if he deserved to be called brave. He was shaking like a leaf and he could hardly keep himself from going mad. He shook his head, "As long as it doesn't involve water," he said softly. The last time it had rained had been a while after they had first met in that storm. He had spend all day indoors moping about the wetness. Izar smiled and a small laugh fought it's way to his throat. He was about to say something with a voice from the from seat said in smooth French, "Parlez français." Izar looked up to see his mother giving him a scolding look, "Sorry," he muttered and felt his mood brighten as they reached the field and the car slowed to a stop. Izar got out as quickly as he could without having to take his hand off of Masinori's. Once out he opened his wings and felt the cool air brush over them with a smile glad to be on his own two feet.

((Hey you know someone who used Aoi on the site! Now I feel bad that I took him on Arcadia…oh well, maybe we’ll create a whole Jrock-Gaze-RP army ^_^))
Masinori smirked as they made googly eyes at each other. It probably looked funny, but the longer Masi spent with his parents the more comfortable with himself he felt. Plus he was probably incapable of looking at Izar any other way. His father said they should go and Masinori looked up at him. “But I’m not happy about it.” He scrunched up his face and frowned at the same time. Of course he would be wondering, from now until he found out, what it was. Maybe it had something to do with getting Odille back. No, it was a surprise involving him.
Izar spoke much clearer than Masinori, but when he spoke Japanese…he smiled so wide it made his face hurt. “Me too,” Izar said, Masinori felt his stomach tie itself in a slightly warm knot. Izar’s eyes were closed and he moved his head closer to him, it was all Masinori could do not to kiss him. That was just too much though, Izar’s poor dad was really being a sport about things. Most father’s probably would’ve chased him out of their house with some kind of dangerous appliance. He turned his head to look out the window for a minute and get his mind off of it, but thought he couldn’t wait until they got even a few seconds alone.
“Ha, just that much huh.” He swatted Izar’s hand playfully with his free one. “Sorry!” Masinori said, well the Japanese game worked for a few sentences at least. They arrived to the field and he felt relived for Izar’s sake. He got out of the car still holding his hand, and immediately let out his wings. Masinori took half a step back but still held his hand, and looked proudly at Izar, a warm smile upon his face. “Ai…” He stopped short, about to say ‘aisteru ne’ but remembered he was being rude. “Be careful, ok Iz?”
He figured if they did this all the time it would be ok, but he never knew with all of the weird things that always happened to them. Floods, blackouts, dangerous practical jokes, explosions, and underground fighting rings. And that was all in the course of only a few hang-outs. He was very thankful for all of the other times when they just hung out without having their lives threatened by weapons of mass destruction or natural disasters. He gave Izar’s hand a squeeze and let go to stand with his mother away from whatever was about to take place. He looked uncertainly from his father in the car to Izar with his wings outstretched.

((OOC: lol yes an amazing j-rock army of amazingness!!))
Izar smiled, he knew that the suspense of the surprise was just killing Masinori. He smiled and when his parents weren't looking her pulled Masinori into a tight hug, "It'll only be a little while longer!" He said encouragingly. He wondered how he would act out this surprise. He pondered it on the way to the field, when he wasn't thinking that they flipping. He was enjoying this, he had never been able to surprise Masinori. He could when he didn't tell him about it but Masinori was very hard to be secretive around. He was actually a little proud of himself for being able to hold his own for so long. His mind wandered as he thought about this. What would the future hold? Would Masinori be able to quit Calliga? Would Izar's strike of luck in his work keep up?
He shook his head as Masinori and he started to have a slight conversation of mixed languages. Izar smiled, so far everything was going well. His father, the super-anti-anything-out-of-the-ordinary was accepting it somehow. He wondered what his mother had said that had made him change his mind. He hoped that his father had truly accepted it and wasn't just being polite. Izar had his eyes closed so he couldn't see anything that was going on, he smiled thinking slightly like a hooded falcon. He wasn't sure what it was but just not being able to see what was going on was so much more calming. He shook his head pushing the thoughts out of his mind. His mind was very crowded at the moment. Masinori, if he had been looking at his dreams lately, would probably think that he was thinking too much.
Izar smiled as Masinori swatted at his hand, "Well, that was a guesstimation." He grinned sheepishly as his mother scolded them. He looked over at Masinori who had just apologized. Izar felt like kissing the ground but refrained. He shook his wings getting out all the stray feathers. He smiled back at Masinori and slowly let go of his hand. "Aren't I always?" he said in answer to Masinori's worry. He unbuckled Need, she was heavy and would slow him down. He felt slightly off without having her with him but he smiled and handed her to Masinori. "Take good care of her. She's to heavy for this." He winked. He turned his gaze to his father and grinned. He stepped up next to the car but far enough away that he would be able to spread his wings.
"You all know the course." His mother said from behind him. He beat his wings twice experimentally feeling the wind rush around him. He crouched his wings poised toward the ground and back to catch the wind. His mothers voice was only thing he heard. He turned back to smiled at Masinori then looked straight again. "Ready... Set..." agonizingly slow. "GO!" He felt for the raw power still trapped in his own and he shot forward surprised even by his own speed. He heard the squealing of tires as his father started off, too. He glided close to the ground and every now and then he would give himself a small boost upward with his feet. finally he angled his wings and the wind upward and with a final kick off and a strong beat of his wings he was in the air. The ground dropped out from under him. He beat his wings as the raw power fueled him sending him like a rocket forward. He took a glance to the side and saw that his father was right with him. Not for long... he thought and sent his own power into the wind and it roared with strength. He beat his wings rhythmically and gained speed rapidly shooting across the sky like a star. He came to the curve and banked his wings turning fully sideways in his turn.
He beat his wings faster once they straightened out. He hoped that his mother would move herself and Masinori out of the way. It was hard to stop at this speed. He left his father far behind now as he crossed the finish like a rocket. He began to slow and looked back seeing how flat the grass was from the wind. He began to slow gradually doing a few flips just to show off. He rounded and touched down in victory. He spotted Masinori and landed in front of him, he pretended to trip with his momentum to fall into Masinori's arms. He looked up as his father came rolling to a stop. Izar shoved his fist into the air in triumph. "Told you so." He said panting slightly weary.
((Wow that was so much fun to write!! ^__^))

When Izar’s parents were preoccupied, Izar pulled him close for a brief but tight hug. His lips brushed against Izar’s cheek just before they pulled apart. He wanted to close his eyes now too. “It’ll only be a little while longer!” He wasn’t sure if he meant the surprise or until he could kiss him again. Actually that was proving to be more suspenseful than the surprise. He could almost forget something being kept from him when he looked at Izar and couldn’t be as close to him as he wanted. It was like in the beginning when they were just friends and Masinori had to try and act normal around him. He failed miserably of course and always made what would’ve been awkward advances at him, if he wasn’t just as quick to say things or hold his hand, or anything else that friends definitely didn’t do. Now that he looked back, maybe this wasn’t like that at all, it was way worse.
Izar looked very much lost in his thoughts for a lot of the ride, and not just because he was afraid. Masinori loved to watch him as he thought. He’d try to figure out what he was thinking and then see if he was right later on when Izar was asleep. He’d pretty much given up visiting his dreams in secret now, and would leave if Izar ever wanted him to do so. He loved Izar’s thoughts just as much as the other parts of him. He had so many, and where he probably assumed he had too many, Masi thought it was a good thing and a sign of intelligence. But then again, he was very biased on the matter. He hoped one day he’d be able to know just what he was thinking about by the look in his eyes or the expression on his face. He could pick up on a few things so far.
Masinori thought about that, he was more careful than him, that was for sure. “I hope to find out.” He said in response, meaning I haven’t been with you always, but I hope to be from here on out. He took the sword from Izar, a little surprised, but also pleased to be trusted with something that was obviously quite important to him. He clutched it to his chest like something very precious and fragile, “She? You’d think you’d have a name for it too.” He joked, not knowing that She did have a name. His eyes didn’t leave Izar as he went over to the car and readied himself. "You all know the course.” Masinori didn’t, but was about to find out. He couldn’t help feeling a little knot of worry for his Izar, but remember how ridiculous that was considering it wasn’t like he’d never flown before.
Mrs. Dupont started them off and then stepped back beside him. His eyes were fixed adoringly on Izar almost the entire time. He straightened up a bit in surprise as they both took off. Izar shot forward like a bolt of lightning, disappearing in a storm. He’d said he was fast, but Masinori had no idea he could fly that fast. The motorcycle must’ve been a joke in comparison. His father didn’t have a chance. He gasped a little as Izar turned suddenly, it had startled him, then looked at his mother and laughed at himself a little for doing so. She motioned for him to move a few steps away as Izar straightened his wings and tried to slow. He’d won, there was never a doubt in his mind. He caught him flipping around in mid air when he looked up again, and smirked at his playful behavior. When he landed, he did so right in front of Masinori, and fell forward into his arms. He beamed as he caught him, holding the sword in one hand and throwing both arms around Izar. “Good job, Iz!” He said as he let go. Izar threw his fist in the air excitedly, out of breath.

Izar smiled and winked, "I'm sure you will." He knew that Masinori could pick up on what he was thinking sometimes, and soon Masinori might be able to d so without having to visit his dreams, although Izar loved seeing him in his dreams. It was comforting to have him with him always, even in the unconsciousness. He grinned knowing that his father didn't stand a chance. He felt for the raw energy still trapped in his unconsciousness. He felt the lock that had bee put up by his own power. He was glad that that had happened it would have taken so much time and energy to lock that away had he not been in a daze and in a panic it probably wouldn't have worked.
He grinned laughing. He put a hand on her hilt. "Actually I do." He smiled, "Her name is Need." He shrugged, "I don't know why or what her history was but, I do know that her name is Need." Izar chuckled at the way Masinori held the blade. He was actually glad that he was holding it like that. Most people would have held it like it was going to bite them. He looked up at the sky, it was dimming slowly, . The race wouldn't take too long but if he wanted to surprise Masinori he'd have to hurry. His nerves were jumping as he prepared to take his place. He'd never gone so fast. Perhaps he should try to old the wild power with his own. His hair was nearly flattened by his own speed and his eyes watered.
Izar loved the feeling of the air speeding over his wings and he was in control. At least he could flee very quickly if he really needed to. He panted hugging Masinori tightly. He hung limp in Masinori's grip for a moment. "Thanks," he said straightening. He looked over at his mother and father, "I'll see yo back at home, I wanna show Masinori something." He said his eyes big and pleading. His mother sighed then said calmly, "Fine but call us if it's to dark to see." Izar nodded and waited until they had got into the car nd driven off. When they were out of site Izar whirled and kissed Masinori deeply. He'd been wanting to do that all day. He released the kiss and hugged Masinori and taking in his scent felt calm and collected again. "Finally, some time alone." He said with a laughed.
He looked up his eyes shinning with mischief. "Are you ready?" He asked his eyes shinning. He was sure this would work but he was still a little worried that something might go wrong. He quickly checked his power and he saw that the only power he really used had been the raw. He wasn't as spent as he thought he would be. He carefully too Need back from Masinori and buckled her back onto his belt. "I hope you like it, love." He smiled hugging him tightly. He closed his eyes and gathered his power and tested the winds. He had flown low so the air wasn't as bad down here but up in the atmosphere it could be very dangerous. It was calm to the highest point that Izar had ever gone too so Masinori wouldn't have any unexpected surprises.

“Need.” Masinori repeated. Wasn’t one of the first things he’d said to him something about an intense feeling of need? Yes, in the field when he still was unsure whether he loved or hated him. And he’d responded, at that time the only intense need he felt was one to stop existing. It only got him in trouble with the local doctor Ebenezer Malady, who was consequently a Tainted healer. Masinori half smiled, it was laughable sometimes to think of Izar disliking him. He hoped it always remained a laughable idea. The longer they were together the more certain of things he became. Sure he still had his moments of self depreciating, that would never change, but he was making much improvement. Masinori quirked a brow, but his heart skipped suddenly realizing they’d get to be alone.
Masinori said goodbye to his parents with a bow and they stood side by side, watching them pull away. As soon as they were out of sight they had the same idea. They rushed into each other, Masinori laughed into the kiss. “Nooo, don’t.” He whined when he pulled away. He kept laughing and squeezed him, his face in it’s usual spot, nestled in Izar’s hair. “Are you ready?” Izar asked. “Oh.” Masinori said blankly, he was talking about the surprise, his eyes had a certain uncharacteristic glint. Izar didn’t pull one over on Masinori often. “I’m ready for you to kiss me again,” He said, relieved that he didn’t have to worry about anyone’s opinion anymore. Izar took Need back, and when he put his hands on it, Masinori pulled him forward jokingly and placed a short peck on his lips. He put the sword back in it’s rightful spot on his hip.
Masinori shifted uncomfortably, he mostly didn’t care about the surprise at this point, he pretty much just wanted to make out with Izar for the next hour or two until they had to go back. But Izar was concentrating on something. “I hope you like it, love.” He quirked a brow, “Izy…” He started. “You’re going to lift me?” He guessed. He processed what that meant. “Wait…noooo...are you?” He asked now In surprise. He wasn’t sure how he felt about that or how he’d do it. No, that’s not it… he told himself, still uncertain. He watched Izar, still half holding on to him. He was anxious about something and Masinori got the strangest feeling, it wasn’t a new feeling, but it was strange nonetheless. It was like, “this is it”. This was the meaning to his life. He suddenly formulated his own plan. His own surprise. “Darling, you know I like anything that involves you.” He answered with a smile.
