That's right. [W] because Selene's cool like that. Or stubborn and rude. Whatever. & Open! Ha. Nobody could stop Selene. Nobody could stop Selene Chenelle Eleendette while she was in one of her moods. Her really confident moods scared people, because that was when she did stupid things like jump into seas and lakes and things. And she was in a mood. Oooh. She stepped out of the little house that her parents owned and looked back, not intending to tell them she was going out anyway. Her father was reading his newspaper, her mother washing the dishes. Selene let the door slam, and smiled in satisfaction as her mother jumped and dropped the dish she was holding.
I just want to fall and lose myself Laughing so hard it hurts like hell Forget about everything and runaway yeah It was just one of those kind of days that she wanted to cause trouble. It wasn't that she was mean, she was far from it. Maybe just a little rude... okay, really rude, and slightly bad-mannered... okay, very bad-mannered in terms of table manners and stuff. But she was not mean. She could never bring herself to be anything remotely close to being mean. She was a nice person.
So so is how I'm doing if you're wondering I'm in a fight with the world but I'm winning Stay there come closer it's at your own risk Yeah you know how it is life can be a bitch It was raining. Shoots. Selene opened the door once more, grabbed an umbrella and held it over the head of black hair she had. Slamming the door once more (the SLAM was accompanied by another crash and loud swearing), Selene pulled the ends of her black woolen scarf closer to the ground. A small step of the leather soled shoes on the solid ground made a small thump. Running a free hand through her messy hair, Selene turned to face her neighbors house, and decided to mess up their decorations a bit. After all, she didn't like them much. She stared at the roof of the house, and stared, and stared, and suddenly, the little flashing lightbulbs fell from the roof to the ground. Smiling, Selene set off on her... you could call it a journey to nowhere, right?
But I feel so alive I can't help myself, don't you realize Christmas. Occasion of celebration. Too bad nobody was there to share Selene's joy that another year was passing. As she stalked through the streets of Sanglignée, she smiled coolly at several people, not really caring about what they were doing. After all, when she smiled at them, she could make things fly at them. It was particularly hilarious when she made the ground under somebody's feet shift an inch, and that man slipped and landed on his back, not unlike a turtle. Of course, this guy had made to retaliate, but Selene was already gone. She had run as fast as she could to the nearest store.
That store would be the Café Beau.
Selene closed the umbrella and shook her head slightly, before slipping into a table and looking around at the café. Meh. it was nothing special, but Selene came here all the time. To annoy the occupants, no doubt. but at this moment there was nobody to annoy. Humph. She waved at the store owner for a cup of coffee, and as it arrived, Selene sat back, a gloved hand tracing circles over her cup to make the spoon stir the brown drink. The other gloved hand was gripping the side of the chair tightly.

Bored. Israel Vega sighed into his mocha barely affected by the ripples that followed. His mood was changing fast. The little town of Sanglinee was beginning to disappoint him. As soon as he had arrived into town it had begun to rain. By creating a well of gravity around him the rain simply slid away much to the amazement of the locals. Where were the Tainted he heard roamed the town? Maybe he had made a mistake in coming here. He sighed again placing the mocha on the table and folding his arms. The little cafe was almost deserted and no one bothered to welcome the new person to town. Talk about hospitality.
The cafe was beginning to bore him too. Christmas lights strung around the walls and snowflakes suspended from the ceiling were pathetic attempts to share the spirit of the season. He wanted to tear them down and shred the snowflakes into a real blizzard. He smiled to himself. The rain was putting him in a really difficult mood.
He looked around the store as the door opened. A girl had walked through the door. She was pale and looked a little demented for his likes. She had the most beautiful hair though. Black. Jet black. And a mess. Eh...He couldn't be picky. She was smiling to herself possibly laughing at something he wouldn't want to understand. It was then that Israel noticed that the girl was waving her hand around her cup of coffee. The spoon was spinning itself or...
Had he found one? The girl was gripping her chair as if anticipation and Israel meant to give her reason. He stretched out his fingers focusing on the cup. As gravity around the cup lessened it began to float into the air.

The gloved hand slid to the arm of the chair as Selene stared at the coffee, as if hypnotized. Her gray eyes were almost gleaming. She watched the spoon go faster and faster, and suddenly it stopped, leaving a small whirlpool inside. Selene lifted a hand to clutch her head. She now had a splitting headache. Please don't exaggerate And tell me you're okay She closed her eyes, scrunched up her face, and opened them again. To her amazement, the cup began to float into the air. She reached out to grab the cup, wondering what on earth was happening, then noticed a boy (not too bad looking either) focusing on her cup. Selene froze, tore her eyes from the boy and pushed her fingers towards the cup. To her utmost surprise, her fingers started to float upwards of their own accord. Selene promptly fell off her chair.Okay, okay Selene got up, eying the boy, and sat back down, looking as dignified as she could.Which wasn't much, seeing as Selene had just fallen off her chair. Tainted. He was a Tainted. Selene watched him warily, then lapsed into thought. Invite him or avoid him? He was interesting, no doubt. She had met nyctokinetics and telepathics, but never a gyrokinetic or whatever it was. She looked mildly interested and somewhat thoughtful as she considered the dilemma. Then, slowly, she raised one gloved hand and beckoned to him with one finger.I will admit it if you will admit it it's harder than we both thought it's easier to fall apart

He laughed as the girl fell from her chair. She sure was clumsy. Israel lowered the cup to the table his pale eyes squinted in laughter. The girl scrambled back into her chair trying to look nonchalant. It was surprisingly working.
She eyed him with suspicion and finally after working out some long dilemna beckoned him over with a gloved finger. He gave her a smile and straightened his black leather jacket before going over to her. Now he wished he was wearing leather pants to compliment the jacket but blue jeans would have to do. Fashion was not really his thing but this girl had a sense of her own that he liked. Black. How cute. He sat in the chair across from her and crossed his legs. He held her in his gaze for a time before he spoke.
He introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Israel."

Drink me up in your thoughts Just like I do with you Are you left thirsty too? He had laughed at her! Selene's forehead creased. He thought she was funny? He was on her death list. She immediately dropped the hand and folded her arms, looking superior. Or at least, trying very hard to. She tossed her head back, her black hair falling over her shoulder. He was wearing leather too. Well, then maybe, just maybe, she could forgive him.
But he was wearing jeans! What kind of outfit was that? Selene's frown became more obvious as the boy sat in the chair opposite hers. Okay. So maybe he wasn't a boy. No doubt he was older than her. A man. Fine. They stared at each other for a while. Selene made no move to start a conversation. She did not want to talk to somebody who had . Then:
"Hi, I'm Israel." Selene raised an eyebrow. So? But of course, she didn't say that. Instead, she said, not with much feeling, 'Why did you reveal yourself to me?' Her gray eyes were not smiling. 'You know what the untainted will do to you if they saw that?' Selene sighed, shifting herself to mirror Israel's sitting position.I must admit, I must admit, I must admit it's a good insane I must admit, I must admit, hear me admit!

Coffee. For Odille, it was the answer to any problem, any question, any setback. Or at least, something to occupy her when bored out of her mind. So where else would she have gone but to the small café? She had prowled the streets this week like a needle in a haystack. A rather unapproachable haystack. Maybe she wasn’t paying close enough attention, but she hadn’t yet seen much of anything that held her interest. She found herself drawn to the woods time and time again, to the old thoughts that hurt and haunted. They seemed to be waiting for her in the trees, but there was little else waiting, and that wasn’t the point of her coming here. The truth was she would’ve rather been amongst the trees where she imagined her mother, playing as a child. Brooding over the past.
But she was too old to play and had done more than enough brooding, and so she scolded herself and headed back into town. Her heeled shoes clanked on the cobbled street, black and now covered with mud. They were businesslike in their song, though she looked far from professional. There was the café, in the middle of the village, waiting to offer her relief in caffeine form. She smirked slightly and walked towards it, an icy breeze sweeping over her. She remembered New York and how treacherous winters had been. How the wind blew like torrents, strong enough to knock a person over, even through the sky scrapers. She grimaced.
Russia had been much colder, she didn’t know why she had even remembered New York now. Russia, yes, where people swam in the snow and drank vodka to warm themselves. They had to be some kind of crazy, she remembered this with fondness. She was smiling when she came at last to the window of Café Beau. Something inside caught her eye before she entered, and sent a defensive shock up her spine. As a natural reaction to such a feeling, she shrunk back and miraged herself. Visible now as only a passerby, already gone, to those who she didn’t want to see her at least. In this case the few occupants of the café.
She didn’t really pay any attention to them at first, but more so the cup that seemed to be hovering somewhere inside. Her eyebrows furrowed together, and she turned quickly so that her back was leaning on the door. She bit her lip and wondered if she should go inside. Her heart may’ve been beating a bit faster than usual. Of course she could go inside, she only came from halfway across the world and settled in France to find people like this. She decided to enter like nothing had happened, her rosy cheeks would be a good enough excuse. She inhaled deeply and pulled her green velvet coat tighter around her boney frame, then pushed the door open.
She tried to look inconspicuous, which was sort of impossible for her being so tall and dressed like an antique carpet. After having quickly purchased a coffee, she claimed a table in a dark corner. She leaned back and pretended to be keeping to herself, lit a long black clove cigarette and sipped her coffee. Also black. If she was unwelcome, the worst they could do was ignore her. She waited.

'You know what the untainted will do to you if they saw that?'
Huh. Not even so much as a hi back. Well, well this girl sure had attitude. He'd revealed himself because he couldn't care less about what the untainted thought. Israel wanted to establish a friendly connection with someone of the town. The girl should have considered herself lucky he was even speaking to her.
"Who cares what the untainted think?" he spat. He was getting worked up and that was not a good thing. He could already feel his powers trying to negate gravity in the area. He closed his eyes for a second.
Not a good thing showing a sign of weakness in front of a stranger. And why was he even getting worked up? She had just asked a simple question. "Sorry about that. I don't really care about the untainted. Only showing the world that we exist for a reason."

Israel whathisname was getting angry. Just because she had asked a question. Selene glared. It was as if this man was undermining her authority! He was SO on her death list. How dare he be so rude to her, Selene Chenelle Eleendette!
As she heard his apology for acting up suddenly, Selene nodded. 'I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have jumped at you.' She nodded and held out a hand. She forgave too easily. Really. She smiled just slightly and glanced at the figure that had entered the café. Was that a human or creature? She stared at whatever it was for a moment or so, then decided it was a human dressed like... whatever. it was a human for sure. She raised her eye brows. She was smoking. Interesting.
Her light blue eyes flickered over the girl before she turned away to face Israel. 'Selene Eleendette. See that girl over there? I think we should bother her a bit. Or at least talk to her. Hmm?' Selene did not wait for an answer. She twisted, raised a gloved finger and beckoned towards the girl, almost commandingly, inviting her to the table.
She needed to have a good look at this girl.
