The one place that Ariella was scared of more then home was school. She has had her share of people calling her names or when they talk to her they copy her stutter and crack up laughing at her. Ariella didn’t understand why people had to be this way. She didn’t understand why people just couldn’t get along. It wasn’t that hard at least to her it wasn’t. She may have her days were she has been a bit on the tormenting side especially around Miranda but that was just the way the two of them were. Ariella wished that she didn’t have to go her but she had promised her mother that she would take the additional three years just so she can have a stronger background and be more experienced.
It was during lunch break on this cold Monday. Ariella had her black tote bag on her shoulder. Today she managed to look a little more decent the normal. She had on blue jeans that looking nice on her. She had on a thin spaghetti top that was white with blue flowers on it. She had on a jean jacket that matched her jeans. She even had on white wedges. Her hair was brushed nicely down and her make up was done lightly. Ariella was the type of girl that normally wore a pair of loose fitting jeans and a plain tee or band shirt and a sweatshirt. She wasn’t really one to dress up but she wanted to change so she decided that it was time to take the first step.
She looked around the outside where she normally goes for lunch. Everyone was in their clichés. Girls were being pampered or blown off by their boyfriends. Single girls are talking to each other and giggling over who they thought was cute or not. Ariella crossed her arms and lowered her head as she walked by the groups. She hated it when girls were in groups. It always seemed like they were harsher and even more prone to attack her. She found an empty table off to the side. She walked over to the table.
Once she reached the table, she set her tote bag on the table. She sat down carefully as she wasn’t used to the shoes yet. She pulled her jacket closer to her body. She felt uncomfortable and weird dressed like this. She sat up and took a deep breath. She opened her tote bag and pulled out her ipod. She put the headphones in her ears and put it on. She relaxed when she heard the music float into her ears. She pulled her sketch pad out and looked around as she wondered what to draw. She saw a couple talking and laughing and having a good time. She smiled softly as she began to sketch them into her note pad.
