It was the perfect time to go to the beach. Well it would be if you were on a date and was trying to be romantic. But that wasn't what Riley was up to. She just loved going to the beach before the sun sets, and watch it go down across the water. Also it was the time when not too many people were out on it, so she could have the beach more to herself.
As Riley walked along the shore, she felt a slight breeze. So she wraped her grey zip-up sweater over her, but was wishing she was wearing jeans instead of jean shorts. Underneath her sweater and shorts, she was wearing a black bikini, thinking that she may go for a swim, depending on how daring she felt. At the moment, swimming was the last thing on her mind, but she had a feeling that she would eventually get herself in the water. Riley loves to swim and just sit on the beach. She wished her power was more related to the beach or water in a way, but it wasn't.
Riley soon stopped walking along the shore and found a nice place to sit. She was still close to the water, but far enough incase the tide started to come in. She just sat there, trying to forget everything that was going on in her life, and just listen to everything around her and enjoy the view. This was one of the places that Riley felt accepted and apart of something, compared to school or anywhere else. Where she use to live, there wasn't any beaches for her to escape to, so she had to find other places, but no matter where she went, bullies always managed to find her.
Letting out a deep sigh, Riley looked out at the water. She was beginning to debate with herself, if she wanted to go for a swim yet or not. She finally decided that she wait a bit longer before jumping into the water. She looked down at the sand infront and around her. She picked some sand up in her hand, and let it fall slowly out of it. And idea soon came to mind. She began to move piles of sand together, slowly beginning to build a sand castle. It wasn't going to be the greatest, because she didn't have buckets to use, but it was still going to be alright. And yeah she may look like a little kid doing that, but she was fine with it, besides afterwards she would be able to knock it over.
