Full Name: Mikaela “Miki” Stratos[Nee: Tamir] Age: 18 Gender: Female Date of Birth: December 24, 1990 Tainted? Yes Ability: Dreamwalking// Mikaela can enter into a persons dream only when they are sleeping. She has spent countess nights working to get this whole thing right from the moment she discovered what she could do. It was a chance for her to escape her own reality and see into the world of others, so of course she wanted to be able to get it just right. When the person is aware of her in their dreams she has more control over what occurs, only slightly though, and not when the dream is deeply underway. She can’t do this often as it takes a lot of serious dedication and focus to be able to do any of this, leaving her drained most of the time of a lot of energy. There are those instances when the person wakes up while she is still in the dream, and her entire body lurches foreword. Picture it like when you are sleeping and you dream you are falling or something and your entire body involuntarily will jump.
Beliefs: Mikaela doesn’t want to be tainted, but she also knows it has it’s perks. When her own life is beginning to bring her down, it’s interesting to see what others are dreaming about. She has this desire to become a psychiatrist, and is a strong believer that you can tell a lot about a person from their dreams. Though she can’t confide this desire to anyone, let alone get into a university, as much as she may want to. The untainted are something she secretly envies. Mikaela doesn’t go out of her way or anything to pick sides with the Tainted/Untainted, but she doesn’t feel just great about herself being the freak either. It’s a love hate thing.

Eyes: Mikaela has beautiful wild eyes, they are bright blue like the color of the sea shore on the horizon or a lighter sky blue. The color doesn’t change around too much only if she is having spits of anger or insane amounts of happiness do they lighten. The color is so light that her eyes are very sensitive to a lot of sunlight and on particularly bright days she has to wear sunglasses. The shape is almost an Egyptian look where the corners dip lower closer to her nose, and arch upwards on the opposite side.
Hair: Miki’s hair naturally is naturally a dark and dirty blonde, that has no real shape to it. It’s wavy and limp on her head, but of course her husbands wants her to always have it looking it’s best so she has to keep it straight or curled, styled. It’s in fairly good condition still, and isn’t often done much with while her husband is at work. Just pulled into a ponytail or bun when doing housework.
Height: 5’8
Weight: 116, she gets in ‘trouble’ with her husband if her weight is anything over 120 pounds. She is slightly underweight for her height and sadly doesn’t have the metabolism to keep up with all the foods she would like. Weight and appearance is constantly on her mind since she doesn’t want to get in trouble, and is very scared of getting hurt.
Distinguishing Features: Mikaela is very beautiful but not in that obvious sort of way. Her husband constantly makes reference to her flaws. That her calves are to big, her upper teeth are to large, her lips are always pouting, that her curves aren’t good enough, he almost made her go into surgery once, but she was still to young to do any of that. Really her whole self image has been thrown off a lot by her ‘abuse’ [though she wouldn’t call it that] she is really quite pretty. Her slim figure and attractive curves, full lips that leave much to be desired, and the way she moves that is remarkably graceful for even the littlest of tasks. Sadly enough, by the hand of her husband she has marks and scratches all over her body from his remarkably rough hands where he has gotten disappointed in her for something and felt the need to show her his frustration. Usually she has some new bruise or scratch every day and tries to hide it with sweaters or hats.
Most people would assume she was Caucasian, though she is really from Israel, only her lighter skin is derived from her mother who was half French, before she was married to Miki’s dad. So it’s gives her a beautiful tan skin, that seems very unique to only her.
Other: When it comes to her style there are many different situations in which the rules change for what she is allowed to wear, and what she wants to wear. Her husband dictates most of her wardrobe, if he decides she has been a good enough wife to accompany him on a business trip than she has to look like the perfect wife, to make all others jealous. Only if it works to well she might pay for it later if he disapproves. Though he wants her to always appear perfect and well put together, buying her dresses and lingerie for his own needs. Miki prefers her own clothing choices and would wear whatever was comfortable and different, socks with sandals, poka dots with ugly stripes, couture, designers, classic looks, preppy, punk. As long as it doesn’t make people cringe, and if they do cringe she throw on a leather coat.

From her life there was always pressure to be beautiful and seem like the perfect girl. With most of her life lived under a microscope she learned to deal well with stress and pressures. She can keep a flawless smile on her face, multi task, and so many other things she learned from her mother. More of a master in disguise, hiding her own well kept secrets. The Bad Points: Mikaela is a major push over, she won’t stand up for herself, fear holds her back. Whenever Gabe is upset with her she instantly has to become very submissive and avoid getting him more frustrated. Though she isn’t perfect, she plays the piano, a gift that she has had for her entire life almost, and knows that when Gabe comes home from working all day he needs to have food on the table, and her ready to serve him so he can relax. It’s a grand piano, full with ivory keys and all. One of a kind, hand made, it’s the most expensive and beautiful things she has. Luckily Gabe let’s her keep it, since it doesn’t look bad or anything, it give the home a more elegant feel, which he likes. Other than that Mikaela only lives to serve her husband. And is good at that, since she’s had 18 years to learn.

Place of Birth: Bethlehem, Israel Family: Gabriel Stratos// 30// Husband Eliezer Tamir// 60// Father Carmela Tamir// 43// Mother History: Whenever the word money, and power we’re in the same sentence, usually the name Eliezer Tamir was followed closely behind it. The man was exceptional in his craft, money. He did the good business, not to much under the table stuff, for a while anyways. He was greedy and not one to waste his time with trivial matters like a family. He had his eye on one woman he considered suitable to carry his son, the heir to all his fortunes. Carmela, she was beautiful and exotic, articulate, alluring, and more importantly rich. So when he approached her father to ask for her hand in marriage the two agreed. Carmela really couldn’t object it wasn’t her place; she wasn’t raised to speak her mind so she didn’t. And wed to Eliezer on her 17th birthday, a little late yes, but it suited them both fine.
This child was supposed to be everything, a boy, a strong boy with a good head on his shoulders. He would be a fierce businessman, intelligent, bring a lot of pride to their family. So when Mikaela popped out neither was happy, though Carmela secretly prayed for a baby girl. Though still felt guilty for going against her husbands wants. Eliezer was livid with his wife, he hit her a lot, until the doctors gave the okay for her to have another child. Only, she couldn’t, it was simply not working. Eventually they gave up on the ‘do it yourself’ method and went in to see what was going on, when the doctors ran tests and discovered that something had gone wrong while Mikaela was growing inside her mother, that caused a dysfunction, so Carmela couldn’t have anymore kids ever. Yet another thing Miki had ruined in Eliezer’s mater plan.
Eliezer would have killed them both if he could, couldn’t get a divorce since it was shameful, couldn’t adopt since that wouldn’t be blood. The only option left was to wait and marry her off to see who would take her. He didn’t figure she would be worth much to anyone, in his eyes she was a monster, a curse.
Well, her mom loved her. Loved her enough to nearly smoother her to death, but it was the only love she had to hold onto. Carmela taught her daughter everything about being a wife, telling her that it was her duty to do things for her husband, to never talk back, clean for them, cook for them. And when she got older she was told she had to be good in bed for them. Perfect. And if it wasn’t perfect, you had better try damn hard to get it better, or you we’re going to be in trouble.
Sadly Mikaela bought this, and worked hard at being good enough. Eliezer didn’t pay mind to her, bought her everything she would ever need, took her out with them to public events. Miki learned to be a lady since she was a baby, and was taken back by the time she was 13 and boys actually started looking at her. Well, Eliezer decided it was time to move, 13 years as enough for anyone. So they went to Jerusalem when things in the business world started getting complicated. Eliezer was spending almost all his time at the office, he would hire guards to watch their home, keep them inside at all times. When Mikaela was 14 and up sick the whole night she had pulled a pillow along with her to rest outside her fathers office door for a little while until she felt better. Something she did often to at least convince herself she was close to him in one way. Though she was also aware that there was someone else in there to. They we’re discussing police, and hiding certain documents from them. Well Mikaela never believed her father to be a particularly kind man, but at least she regarded him as honest, after this night the image was shattered in her mind.
A few weeks later when Mikaela was studying her literature her father came into the study room, along with Carmela, who looked upset, though relieved at the same time. Naturally, or maybe it was instinct, Miki stood to leave. But when she felt Eliezer’s hand on her shoulder, forcing her to sit back down, she couldn’t even catch her breath.
“Mikaela,” he paused to turn to Carmela, then back, “You must know this, we plan on having you married.”
Horror struck she wanted to yell, scream, do something, her eyes gave her away though her body said nothing. “YOU SOULD CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY! This wasn’t an easy thing to do, after all, your not much to offer someone.” With that he left her terrified. She knew in two years time she would be married to a stranger, who what he be, what would he look like, how would he like her? She had never really met any man other than her father, yes there was the occasional businessman that stopped by for dinner but that was it. She assumed they we’re all like Eliezer, he’d seen her hit Carmela, and Carmela had always assured her that she deserved what happened to her, that she hadn’t watched her place. Though every so often a thought that appealed to her slipped in through the drawn curtain of her mind, wondering what it might be like to be not hit.
As time progressed so did Mikaela’s mind, she was smart, there was no question. Turning an at least somewhat positive spin on things as she went. Just a couple weeks before her 16th birthday, something which she couldn’t stop thinking about, she started noticing something odd. She was able to see into peoples dreams, at first it only came in bits and pieces. Though with time everything became clearer, she was Tainted. Miki had heard her father crack nasty jokes about the Tainted before, and had a fairly negative image of what they we’re supposed to be in her mind. So she dealt with a lot of anxiety attacks for that stressful time. But yet, instead of thinking about the wedding it eased her mind to practice her gift. Like an escape from reality, she learned more insight into the people around her, things they wanted, feared, longed for. It was all quite charming.
So it was time to meet the man she would marry, Carmela had told her he was named Gabriel Stratos. Mikaela Stratos… Mikaela Stratos. It sounded right in her mind. He was the son of Luke Stratos, a business partner with Eliezer, so it made sense why they we’re going to be married. When she met Gabe for the first time she was extremely intimidated, he was a man, she was just a child. But she tried her best to be polite, though her memory of the night she hadn’t said a word other than ‘yes’ or ‘no’. So, when Eliezer told her again that she wouldn’t be getting married right away she was surprisingly relieved. Though she had thought herself prepared to handle this, she wasn’t, not nearly ready to be married, she was timid around him, shy, afraid of messing things up.
Well the two weren’t getting married, but they we’re to live together, until she turned 18 and they could be legally married. Well, Miki was having an emotional debate on whether or not she would actually be able to leave her mom, she hadn’t spent more than a day away from her for as long as she could remember, other than when Carmela was having to travel with her husband. But, what could she do? Faithfully she went with Gabe. At first they didn’t speak much to each other, Miki was timid and shy around him, afraid of doing the wrong thing. The only thing that surprised her about Gabe was he didn’t hit her the way she had expected him to, the way her father did. If she got hit, it wasn’t really hard enough to leave marks, maybe a little red that was all. And he yelled, but it was just because he worked really hard, so she had to understand. It was the only thing she knew how to do.
Well, it took nearly a whole damn year, but wouldn’t you know it, somehow this little girl found love. Strange right? He was twelve years older than her, not always in the nicest of moods, but she loved him anyways. At first she tried to trick her mind into falling in love with him, but became depressed because she couldn’t do it. Then slowly but surely she was finding herself getting butterflies for him, then blushing whenever he would mention something positive. Mikaela tries to do everything for him, though isn’t always perfect, but only wants him to love her back. After their wedding when she turned 18 they go a visit from her father, who she hadn’t seen since the wedding, when he told her that now she would need to have a child for him. Only, Mikaela still hasn’t told Gabe, though it’s driving her insane to keep secrets from her love. But he doesn’t even like her, so a child, that’s defiantly a stretch.

RP Sample: Ice was cold, well it’d have to be since it was frozen, but the chill was not a welcomed thing. As winter was fast coming to an end this gave a perfect opportunity to practice certain skills. Well the ice was softer not but still solid, so it shouldn’t be that hard to help it along changing it’s form from ice to water and back, when mother nature was doing half the work for you. But- it took absolutely none of the fun away. Kristin loved the water, she always had. For a while when she was hiding her powers from everyone she wondered if it was because she’d loved the water so much that was why she had the ability to move it. The first time however that water had ever done what she wanted it was a big deal, saving her fathers life, after that it had basically taken all the energy out of her body and left her weak so she’d spent the rest of her life from that point building up the ability to make it more secure. You had to be secure. Water is a force, a part of nature that shouldn’t be in the control of a 19 year old girl, but she was abundantly responsible with it, never careless, and never caught, so that when the time did come that things got out of hand she could get things managed no problem.
Perhaps one of the most difficult parts to having the power was that it had, under all circumstances, to be kept a secret. Yet every night at 6 o’clock there are stories of floods, tidal waves, dames breaking and people loosing their lives, when Kristin could have done something. But the world was stubborn and not willing to accept what she could offer, they cut her open, experiment on her, kill her ultimately before the idea of an outside ‘freak’ helping them. That’s what she wanted more than anything was to help. The possibilities we’re nearly endless, since water was right up there with oxygen of top importance. The ability to transport water to other country’s so that no where went through a drought, helping the environment to sustain itself through global warming and so many more things. Though they we’re merely fantasy’s her mind thought of while she continued her normal life.
“Step, step, jump!” The path was so familiar by this point it was not even worth it to count the number of paces to the river from her house anymore. Kristin had come here almost every single night since she’d moved to Marseille, in fact it was so familiar by now that her feet had made their own track through the woods. It was a short-cut, just incase anyone did ever to manage to come by and see her, that she could sneak away without being captured.
Captured.
Many times when things hadn’t gone exactly, right, and she could have sworn there we’re eyes watching her do what she does best, she would stay up all night picturing what would have happened. Would they call the police? Lock her up in a cage. Torture her for information she didn’t have? There was no conspiracy here, well, maybe there was, but she definitely was not a part of it.
The trees we’re thick through this part, thought the path was memorized well, when to duck, when to jump, what branches to hold so they don’t swing back and hit you. Time was her friend, for now at least. It was late sort of, a quarter past twelve. In a small town hardly anyone was out now, and if people we’re they wouldn’t be in a forest, well, she was sure there might be someone that watched her out her, but only because she was paranoid, probably. The only light spared was that which the moon cast down, it skipped some spots in the forest floor. Mainly covered in the white fluffy stuff though, some parts had already melted through. It was wet so her socks we’re drenched already. Then again she always got wet doing this. Curse or blessing. Take it or leave it.
Coming to the end of her trail she’d been at her almost running pace for half an hour now and had finally heard the sound that sent tingling down her spine.
The current.
It was a beautiful sound really, no one ever took the time to just appreciate the water and it’s power. Kristin found herself humbled to it instantly. Stepping close to the edge she checked it out a little, the edge we’re frozen solid, yet the further inward towards the center was where the water was at its strongest. Suddenly it was rising straight upwards into the sky, growing higher and higher! Then it curved and spilt into to separate streams of the precious liquid high into the sky, above the trees and beyond. Kristin stared, still taken in by the sight, as the bottom froze; keeping the water in place, the frost built up and soon it was cemented in place, in twisted, beautiful spirals. Kind of like a metaphor for her sometimes, twisted and crazy, but beautiful none the less. Soon it buckled and crashed again into the stream. Before it had a chance to settle she was raising it again, this time it formed a cylinder spiral around her, starting at the base of her feet to the top of her head and beyond, tunneling itself while she remained centered. The water splashed off of her soaking her till she solidified it as it was high in the sky. Again she made different structures and shapes with the water always returning it to the river from which it came from.
“Beautiful.”
Breathless awe was all there was left, her body was wiped but there was still energy in her to do more. Her clothes had dried as it wasn’t hard to remove water, Kristin could not only move large masses of water, but she’d spent so much time for months and months just doing little things that even the tiniest amount of water was left penetrable to her. It was freeing. Liberation. Completely and totally addicting.
