James and Veronica fist met many many years ago when they were still young enough to need a babysitter. Even though they had quite the age difference, the two instantly got along. At first it was always Veronica standing up for her younger friend. As other kids picked on him, she smashed their faces in. It was truly a cycle that didn't last long after many realized the consequences on messing with her body. They had to get older sometime though, and the older Nikki got the more destructive her habits got. She no longer needed to protect James, nor could she at this point.

James never did agree with her drinking habits. Especially starting at such a young age. When she truly became an alcoholic he didn't particularly like it especially with the stupid stuff she ends up doing sometimes. Like wasting most of her money on gambling or alcohol. They still hang out, but there's been a bit of sexual tension between the two as of lately.
