Like arrows the fallen leaves swirved towards the ground. Payton making her way through the dense tree trunks, pushed against the heavy winds. The sky was a pale grey, reflecting the hard, barren earth below. She had a lot on her mind. A lot. In the last two weeks so much had happened. She had hooked up with Bryce, had a few flings, learned of her brothers death, made a few new friends, moved out of her Aunt Selene's house and into #6 with Artemis, Lacy, and a whole gaggle of other people, she had started down a long road of trouble, discovered the truth behinde her brothers death, got a new job, flirtted with her unwarentedly sexy boss, and a long list of minor details had happend, and yet her best friends in the whole entire world had some how been left out of the loop. They had some catching up to do.
All the while Payton hadn't stopped to sit down and talk about it all, let it all go, put the past behind her. One of the two people she trusted enough to spew all of her thoughts to, being dead, left only one other person. Rosalie Snow. She was just about the coolest person. They had been friends ever since Payton moved to San after her parents death and some how, in a matter of months, they had grown apart. It was the fault of neither. People changed. However, Payton knew this wasn't some typical story. They hadn't chaged, and parted ways, mututally agreeing they'd be better off with out each other. They both were very busy trying to sort through their lives. They would reunite and become closer than close again.
Payton, personally, couldn't wait for that day. She wanted to tell Ros everything. It'd be such a relief. In addition, Payton had heard rumors of a little something between Andrew Carter, some kinda-sorta-cute, in a I-want-to-have-a-hot-make out-session-with kind of way, and Ros. She was itching to know if there was any sort of validity behind that at all. All in all, Payton knew they had a lot to talk about.
She had left her aunt's car, which she had failed to return on time, just outside of the woods. This was one of her favorite places to be. The secluded serenity was a site for sore eyes. It was like heaven, except with the occasional squirrle or deer. The trees towered over Payton's small frame. It was like the difference between ants and skyscrapers. The vulnerability oozed through her body and out of her pores. She could here the sound of a distant hare making its way back to a deserted meadow. Upon arriving at n abnormally large tree trunks, Payton took the easy way. She went through instead of around. The only good thing about all of the stuff going on in her life was the training it supplied. The training of her emotions, which played a key factor in her abilities.
Payton sat on a nearly rotted log, making sure to put her sweater between her and it. She starred up at the sky. It was beautiful, dusted with specks of gold, illuminated by the tangy orange and pink clouds.

"Oooo, Ohh! Yeah Yeah Yeahyeaah!~" Rosalie sang along to the music in her ears as she skipped through the streets to the edge of town. She clutched her iPod in her right hand, her arms wide spread as she headed to the woods on foot. Her feet barely touching the ground, but she swirled every few steps. "Boy I'm crazyyy! Missing you like candyy.~" She continued to sing along to the music happily.
Rosalie was just thrilled. It's been so long since she's seen Payton, nostalgic memories had been flooding her mind ever since that morning she woke up. There was so much to talk about; her moving out, Andrew, and series of other things. Though her life wasn't very exciting in the first place, but there was so many things to be said.
Though that was left to be spoken, not thought about. Rosalie approached the woods, seeing a car parked next to the edge of them. She shrugged it off, not realizing it was Payton's and she looked straight up to the trees. She slowly ascended to a high sturdy branch and continued onwards into the woods. Her feet just barely touching the branches as they help her lift off to the next. She reminded herself as a flying monkey. Though sometimes she felt like Mary Poppins. Her eyes quickly glanced the ground and she spotted the familiar blond sitting on a rotten log.
A smirk formed on Rosalie's face. "Baby won't you come to meee~" She sung as she descended down the tree above, gently landing on her feet behind Payton. She slipped off her right headphone and stuffed it in her shirt and tapped Payton's shoulder. "Eee! I've missed you so much! Gah!" She couldn't resist any longer and just flat out gave Payton a hug.

Payton was in deep, deeper than an 20,000 pound anvil that was dropped into the ocean at frightening heights and even more terrifying a thrust. She was sinking, and ske knew it. In fact, she was already almost at the ocean's floor. The pressure was killing here. All she needed was a goof talking to. Ugh. Why was it so hard. her friends had all drifted away from her, and Dylan, the one person she could tell anything, was dead. The scene kept playing out in her head. It was ll of her fault.
The winfd blew at venemous speed as Payton staed off in to the woods. On the other end she could see the sun shining through, fighting the vast branches just to make an appearance. Amber and Claeb's wedding was right around the corner and she hadn't even picked out what she'd wear. Bryce was sure to look dazzeling, but she couldn't assuer her self that she'd look the same. In a time when it felt like she needed support, her foundations had fallen, and no amount of builders, sculptors, ar archetects could fix the damamge that had occured.
She kicked a few leaves around, sitting on the log. The log was cold against her bottom through her pants. She could feel the rigid grain and the prtruidng bark. Were her problems her fault? Did she cause all the pain? Was she the reason Earth decided to spin on a random axis of it's own, despite the need for equalibrium on the small insignificant planet?
Suddenly she heard the loudest of squeals, and instantly she knew how it was. Rosalie! She turned around. Before she had tome to say her hellos, Rosalie had her in a tight embrace. "How are you, my bestest bud in the whole wide world? I haven't seen you in ages," Payton said between breathes. The day had started looking up, and the formation of the clouds (which surrounded the sun, not ubstructing it's view on the world below) confirmed.

Payton had an expression on her face that screamed, I was happy but I'm so stressed at the same time. Rosalie could read it as plain as day but decided it was best not to ask, but to cheer her up instead. She clung to her best friend tightly, hating not talking to her for ages. "I'm alright! How are you, I've missed you so much. No more of this losing touch nonsense, we must talk more I swear!" She giggled pulling away from her death grip on her. She grabbed Payton's hand and sat next to her shaking it slightly. "Now tell me everything okay?" She smiled brightly almost bouncing in her seat.
Rosalie had a world of things to say, but didn't know how to start herself. First she had moved out of her mother's house and a house full of very interesting room mates, most who were Tainted which Rosalie had found amazing. Then her usual unusual encounters with different people, her nights singing at Payton's work place though she never seemed to catch her on those nights. And then how her flyings getting so much better. Oh and Andrew but she wouldn't know what to say about it.
Oh but enough of her stupid silly life, it was Payton's she wanted to hear about. There was so many things she's probably missed. Knowing how Payton was. There was probably some amazing man in her life or she has seen and done some pretty cool things. Payton was amazing in that thought itself so she had no doubts in her mind that Payton had loads of good things to tell though, she wondered in the back of her head what was bugging her best friend. She hoped it wasn't too bad that she could say or do something to ease her troubled mind. Cause of course, that was what best friends were for.
