For most people, there's a start to the story... a particular moment that defined the beginning of what they are to one another. For Ten and Brody, they simply... were.

Growing up across the stream, no more than a mile or so away from the massive Hathaway House, Ten was found there, from an extremely early age, as often as she was at her own home. Running wild with Brody, and later the twins as well, and getting into more trouble than she could ever have managed to find by herself. As time passed, and the problems between mother and daughter became more evident, she found a haven in the easy going, relaxed atmosphere of the Hathaway house. They were a family in every way imaginable for her, even though head of the household Glynn Hathaway had never though much about the girl from across the way. The feeling was rather mutual, considering what the monster of a man did to his son.

Still, time passed relatively uneventfully... until the day when Glynn Hathaway decided to uproot his happy family and take them to the ends of the earth without barely any notice. At least, thats how it felt to ten. Suddenly she was alone, her best friend and family gone without much more than a hasty goodbye and she was left to fend for herself for the first time in her memory. Oh, she and Brody kept in touch... there were late night phone calls and online conversations that lasted for what seemed like days at a time, whenever they could get away with it. But it simply wasn't the same...

She tried to get away to visit... just as Brody had, countless times over the years. But there was always something, usually one of their parents, standing in the way. Until she'd finally managed it at the age of 19 and found herself back in his world for the first time in years... and completely at a loss for how to adjust.

She met him at a party. Typical college story. Girl meets boy, boy meets girl, girl and guy fall in love. It was something Ellie definitely didn't expect after spending one night talking with Brody. She had recently just started University and was trying to turn over a new leaf from her old partying ways. She went to parties, but didn't drink an insane amount. And you can say that for once in her life, Elannia Worthington was glad she was sober when she met Brody, and luckily, he was sober too. They spent the night sitting on the couch and just talking to each other. By the end of the night - they had swapped numbers. They were friends first. Brody was taken by one of Ellie's new friends - Jessica. This fact stopped Ellie from ever going past flirting with him. She could look, but she had enough sense in her not to touch. They grew close, and Ellie felt herself wanting him. He was everything she ever wanted - someone sweet and someone hot. She had just found him too late. A couple of months later.... something happened. Jessica and Brody broke up. The next week, people were buzzing about the latest couple. Brody and Ellie.

It had happened so quickly. Brody had called her and asked her to hang out right after he dumped her. Around midnight after a night of watching movies, they found themselves in a lip lock. It had barely taken a day for him to get over her, and barely a day for Ellie to lose a good friend. She didn't really mind even though she felt guilty every time she looked at Jessica's face. But the thing was.... she was happy with Brody. Happier than she had ever been. He was her everything. She joined his group of friends and they all accepted her. She was finally having everything she envisioned college to be like. After that, they were pretty much joined at the hip. Whether they're just talking, eating out somewhere, running together.... they came pretty much as a pair now. When Ellie's father actually LIKED Brody, seeing as he saw Brody as a good influence on her, he was much better than the other boys she had brought him before him.... Well with his approval, Ellie also gained Brody's family's approval.... which just made everyone happy all around. Growing up in a large family, Ellie actually doesn't mind being in the Hathaway house with it's numerous kids. They've been dating for quite a number of months now with no sign of breaking apart. Brody's the first real relationship she's had that doesn't involve several hours in the bedroom during their dates. She can actually talk to him. Which is a first... and she definitely doesn't want to screw things up with him.

So when Ten came down for a visit, and because Ellie somehow screwed things up with HER, she was just glad Brody didn't get mad at her or whatever. She does love him, it's true. Right now, when she's not really certain about anything - that she knows is exactly true.

Both of them just happened to be walking past an alley way when they heard a women's scream coming from within it. They both dropped their possessions and raced after the sound. When they reach the source they were met by two large muggers and a bruised female lecturer. One of the men pulled out a knife, but Ash roundhouse kicked it out of his hand. At the same time Brody tackled the other fiend and was beating him to the ground. Both boys left the muggers in no desirable state. They helped the women to the infirmary and then both walked together to the dorms. It was really late, so Ash offered Brody a place to crash, and they have been close friends ever since.
