Veronica had known of Mai for quite some time, before they met. Just the general rumors that got blown out of proportion, especially by those who were tainted. Nikki paid it no mind though, and simply chose to ignore her. She was just another untainted living in the city. Time went on, and in such a small community its hard not to brush elbows when you frequent the same bars and parties. Eventually after a many shots, and a few failed shots at quarters they began to talk at a party not more than three years ago. Although they say opposites attract, these two babes were anything but. Alcoholics to the core, cynical to boot, and add about a gallon of stubbornness and you got the perfect pair!! Well, sometimes. On occasion however having that much drunken stupidity and bull-headed stubbornness together can lead to some rather explosive fights. Sometimes one of Nikki's buddies will have to drag her away, in fear that her power might go hay-wire. Then their secret wouldn't be much of a secret anymore.

They're not the best of friends, nor are they the worst. In fact, Aurore and Mai might have been inseperable if it weren't for thier competetive nature. Both being dancers they were taught to be careful, especially with competition. So, Aurore and Mai never really got close. The only time they leave thier feud behind them is on a night on the town, but the line is redrawn afterwards, and it isn't dared crossed. They met in dance class, and it's been the one thing that has kept them connected up untill now. Ballet is Aurore's passion, and she won't let anyonw get in the way of that -- not even Mai.
