"So...what have you been up the past two years?"
”Y’know, the usual - not a whole lot... Sure you’ve got way more interesting stories for m—“ She cuts off as he suddenly falls, and halts in step, eyes wide. ”You okay, hon?” But he’s laughing so clearly he’s not hurt, right? …Unless maybe it’s one of those absurdity things where you laugh anyway, even though you’re like bleeding and about to die, but probably not since he only fell…
But then he’s getting up, so she’s pretty sure there’s no harm done (and she thinks she should have helped him up, probably, ‘cause that’s the polite thing to do, instead of standing by and staring and fidgeting), but he seems to be embarrassed by it (is he actually blushing?! Aww! is probably not the best thought, really). Once they’re walking again she looks over his way and offers a smile.
”Y’not allowed t’die on me, y’hear?” ….ashikjnaph, great, perfect…Eighty-plus years, and you still can’t keep your tongue in check, Anna?! Yeah, probably not the best thing to say, if not for his sake for her own…and she’s not stopping really, so maybe she’ll be able to come out with something redeeming in there? ”I’d be pissed. And expect proper haunting. Or else.” Then again, maybe "not" on the redeeming thing...
The trees thin out, and then they’re free of them, and she looks around absently with a slight smile. So it wasn’t that far after all. It’d seemed like it would have taken hours to get out of the woods, but then, here they were…
"GIO! COME HELP ME OUT WITH THIS! PLEASE!"
She should really pay more attention to things when she’s around other people because that? Made her jump slightly, and she looks over and flashes an apologetic grin his way. ”So didn’ know you were gonna do that…”
The boy came out then, and Anna watches silently, offering a friendly smile. He does seem almost nervous, and she absently lowers the axe from her shoulder and holds it behind her back (as if that’s going to make him feel any better or something; well it makes her feel better, so…).
"Anna is a friend of mine. Don't worry it's okay....just help be drag this over there, ya?" She stays where she is as the two start taking the tree (log, now? Whatever, it’s still got branches, so it must still be a tree…) over towards the house, then follows them. Con thanks Gio once they’d gotten the log/tree/whatever settled where he wanted it, then the boy takes off inside pretty quickly, and Anna watches absently. "See....he is timid and shy."
”Yeah, y’sure he won’t mind me around? I mean, tonight?” (…nice one, Anna…) ”I don’t wanna make him all …uncomfortable or anything, y’know?”
He holds out a hand, and she glances at it quizzically a second, then remembers the axe she’s holding, and offers it to him (handle-first, because killing him by mistake would be bad).

So the fall was rather embarrassing but he was going to live and did not really say anything for he didn't hear her. All he did was chuckle at his fall to laugh at himself then moved on to drag the tree. Also when she commented he was not allowed to die on her he rolled over in laughter then he looked over at her. In some for of your silly kind of glance before he retorted out in his own voice. "Eh don't worry about me dying love. I been informed I won't be going for quite some time." He gave her a friendly smile then he went back to dragging the tree which he shortly made it to the house. Off guard he did yell which he did not mean to frighten her so he went looked at her. Innocent look then mumbled some small form of a 'sorry' to her since he was sorry.
Did not mean to make her jump he was just trying to get Little Gio's attention. He did wait for a moment then he smiled at her for a moment then he stopped when he heard someone coming to help him. The two went moved the tree without much hassle then he let Gio run back inside and let out some little fatherly sigh. God how Constantine wanted his own from his own flesh and blood but he doesn't see that happening anytime soon. He went back to reality when Anna said something which he turned his head looked at her. With a smile he shrugged slowly then walked over to her slowly. "Oh don't worry about him. He needs to get used to having people around and such." He said in a matter of fact tone of voice before continuing on with what he had to say.
"After all I'm shipping him to school next week since he needs to finish. Well I say so, he doesn't want to ever leave, but working on that little issue. All starts one step at a time my dear so we shall start with you first. I think he will like you since after all your a very kind hearted person and wonderful to be around." He let the comment out without even thinking to restrain himself. At least he didn't blurt out the still beautiful as always part and he looked down to the ground. A small chew on his lip happened before looking up at her and putting his hand out for the axe. She was puzzled at first but soon understood what he wanted and handed the axe to him which he took. He walked over to the tree then lifted his arms up over his head and went straight down into the log.
Just to hold the axe there which he smiled since that was set and walked over to get some pieces of firewood. Enough in his hands to bundle up and enough for him to carry. "Alright think I'm set for the night." He looked over to her then he let out another smile, he couldn't help it. He tried to cut it out because he thought it was rather goofy of him to be all like this. But she did put him in a cheery mood since he did care a lot about her after all. He felt bad for leaving out of the blue those two years ago just right as soon as they gotten a little committed but he had to. That was his way of coping with the lost of his family leave so he wouldn't have to hear them.
Hopefully his mother and father just found each other the moved on, he hopes. "So....you go talk to Little Gio and I'll make dinner. Besides I'll be busy talking to Gustave since he is helping me with the recipe." He smirked some little quirk of a smirk then he went to quickly explain. "Quite nice having a ghost who was a chief in his mortal lifetime around. Come along sweetie, should get out of the cold anyways." He made a nod as in to nudge her to go along with him. He began to walk towards his door which he managed to open with one hand then entered inside his house. He went to the fireplace directly left the door open for her so she can come inside.

"Eh don't worry about me dying love. I been informed I won't be going for quite some time."
In a way that’s a relief, but in another way it’s not because how long is quite some time, and how long is it on comparison to forever? And the thought itself is worrying in it’s mere presence, so she drops it, offering a small smile and a half-murmured ”Good.” that’s probably too quiet to pick up on. And then there's that "love" reference which is clearly just one of those petname-type-things like they use all the time, except that it's also not the same and in any case she really shouldn't be thinking about that either.
And she’s pointedly refusing to think on the subject further, so clearly everything which isn’t that is going to be interesting, so she’s sort of bouncing from thought to thought; thoughts on how pretty it is out here and on how nice it is that he’s back and on how she really hopes she’ll be able to help Gio and just everything that’s going on, all right after eachother and almost on top of eachother and jumbling together. But that’s good, because it doesn’t leave room for silly angsty thoughts, so therefore it’s good.
"Oh don't worry about him. He needs to get used to having people around and such. …After all I'm shipping him to school next week since he needs to finish. Well I say so, he doesn't want to ever leave, but working on that little issue. All starts one step at a time my dear so we shall start with you first. I think he will like you since after all your a very kind hearted person and wonderful to be around."
She probably doesn’t have to be blushing over that sort of compliment, does she? Because it’s nothing to blush about. Thanking is one thing, blushing something else entirely, something that probably has no place in this conversation. Shaking that off, then. Yes. Because willpower should clearly be enough.
”Well, I’ll give it a shot… Ooh. Does he like coffee..?” Because clearly coffee would help. It helps with everything (except falling asleep, for some people; but it works great for her)!
Once he has the axe, she’s sorta glad – because, really, her, with sharp objects? She’s not really sure why it worries her so much when she wasn’t even, like, swinging it around at all, but it sorta does, ‘cause she’s horrible at being careful. Really. So, yes, he’s better off with it, not her. She watches as he gathers up firewood, absently wondering if she should offer to help, but in the end just staying silent.
"Alright think I'm set for the night."
Anna flashes a smile in return to his (…Okay seriously Anna, stop acting like a giddy-sappy schoolgirl every time he smiles!), and moves to follow him as he heads for the house.
"So....you go talk to Little Gio and I'll make dinner. Besides I'll be busy talking to Gustave since he is helping me with the recipe." ‘Gustave’? She’s pretty sure she never met him, or heard him mentioned… at least, she thinks she would have remembered a name that silly …interesting. “Quite nice having a ghost who was a chief in his mortal lifetime around. Come along sweetie, should get out of the cold anyways."
”I bet; he’d probably die all over again if he saw my cookin’, though. For serious. It’s still that bad.” she remarks as she follows him inside (pausing in the doorway to look around a little; somehow she expected things to be hugely different inside, and they’re not, not really, and that makes her happy for some weird reason she’s not entirely sure about). Once in, she closes the door behind her gently (over-gently, probably, because slamming doors even by mistake is one of those things she’s heard is a bad thing for some reason or another), and hesitates a second, then slips off her shoes (because clearly they’re evil, and she’s pretty sure he won’t mind he didn’t used to anyway).

"Coffee?" He quickly looked at her with a raise of an eyebrow before he burst up laughing and shook his head. Man she was a riot but he knew she was serious so he straighten up and then cleared his throat. "Um...I don't think so. I don't know...I haven't learned much about what he likes and doesn't like. Sure he is too young to like the taste of coffee but who knows some kids grow up fast." He shrugged slowly since he was not certain at this point and then he smiled slowly. He turned away to walk to his house and blew his dark long bangs from his face as he went. No he did not need her help at all he was fine on his own and got enough fire wood. As he lead her into his home which had not changed a damn bit, he never liked change really, which she should be familiar with his home. He went to the fireplace to start up the fire which he threw in at least three logs.
He heard her comment as she followed him inside about Gustave which he had to laugh hardy about it. His head turned which his hair was in his face so maybe looked a little oddly but like Con cared. "I've always offered to help teach you but your so damn stubborn all the time." He turned his head back to snatch the box of matched which he lit a couple threw them into the fireplace. Con like to live old school so he did not have gas or electricity but natural heat, candles or oil lamps. His house was already lit up since he did it before he left so he can find his way back. Slowly he stood from his kneel down position on the floor and went over to the over to throw in the single log he needed to heat the oven. He lit a match then tossed it into the oven to produce the flames. He looked to his left seeing Gustave was already there and waiting. Already yelling some orders at him which he went grabbed some of the pants and pots nodded.
He kind of snapped at Gustave a simple 'shh' as he worked along but it seemed more to himself. His blue eyes wondered over to Anna to see what she was doing and he couldn't help but let out a smile at her. Taking off her shoes, he was odd and for some reason her doing that sent him back head over heels. His eyes wondered to the cracked door of Gio's room and then back to Anna. He slowly walked over to her at his front door after she was done taking her shoes off her feet. He just stared down at her in such a way which, same look he had long ago, he put his hands into his front pockets. His head tilted to the side and he let out a small smile before whispering off. "You haven't changed have you." He bite down on his bottom lip at he looked at her. She'd probably half expect him to land a kiss onto her already by now but he didn't. Why? He was scared she was still the same but still hated him for what he had done.
After all he hated himself for not staying around or staying with her. His eyes searched her before nodding his head in a fashion for her to come and follow him. "I'll let you talk to Gio as I cook. I don't think I can manage talking to two people at once. Gustave likes to bark orders." He heard some man french cursing and he looked over to his left. "No offense." He then looked back to Anna then smiled off and turned around slowly. Walking over to the door that was opened up a crack he went up to the door then opened it slowly. Gio wasn't reading, he was in fact curled up by the window looking outside at something it seemed. Con blinked for a moment then he spoke up slowly so he would not frighten Gio. Which his settled voice just caught the boys attention calmly and Con went on to speak up.
"Gio, Anna is going to be joining us for dinner. Um...but I told her all about you and she wants to talk. Would you be alright to talk to her? I promise she is a very nice woman and won't hurt you." He looked at Gio curiously which the boy didn't seem to mind nodded his head. Con watched the boy travel to his bed he had been given by Constantine then Gio pulled down his long sleeved shirt roughly to make sure something was covered. Con looked at Gio then shrugged since the boy seemed alright with it then leave the room. "See, he is fine with it. I'll call you two when dinner is ready." He left the room completely to let Anna come in to talk to Gio for the little bit and Constantine went right to work. He was being talked to by the ghost chief but he was doing as he was told to prepare a decent enough meal. Also Con did talk every now and then like he was having a talk with someone, an invisible someone.

"Coffee?" He’s laughing, and she crosses her arms across her chest (still careful not to tip the nearly-empty coffee-mug she’s still carrying), feigning annoyance (though it’s clearly obvious that it’s fake because she’s trying not to laugh, herself, because he’s being adorable and apparently her tolerance for adorable is low and the giggling is seriously trying to escape). Then he stops and continues speaking. "Um...I don't think so. I don't know...I haven't learned much about what he likes and doesn't like. Sure he is too young to like the taste of coffee but who knows some kids grow up fast."
“Pah, I liked the taste of coffee when I was tiny. Really. But maybe I’m special...” She shrugs slightly. ”I’ll ask, probably. ‘Cause now I’m curious.” Not that she wasn’t before or anything, but still. Though the likelihood of remembering to ask later on is pretty low – she forgets everything that’s not huge and important, and even some of those things if they’re not really, really obvious…
"I've always offered to help teach you but your so damn stubborn all the time."
”Well that’s because I know it’s a lost cause, darlin’.” she responds lightly, offering another smile. It’s true he’s offered before, but she’s pretty sure it’s a bad idea. It’s like a curse or something, her lack of skill in cooking – she’s pretty sure even if the food ended up right, the kitchen would explode before anyone ever got to eat it. Or something. ”Besides, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks or however that goes. Not that I’m a dog… I’m more like a kitten…” Yes, way off topic, there, but she’s not really noticing that, too busy wondering if, in kitten-form, if she were to randomly become a kitten, she’d still have the red hair, or if she’d be some other random color…
…and then she’s distracted by the yaaay! of being free from the trappings of her evil shoes…
…and then he’s right there, and she’s slightly startled that she hadn’t noticed him come over, but not even that really ‘cause she’s just sort of having a moment of mental gibberish ‘cause he’s just sort of looking at her…
"You haven't changed have you."
It takes a second for her to collect her thoughts enough to respond, and when she does it’s like her voice doesn’t want to co-operate so it’s almost equally quiet as his words when she finally manages to speak. ”You don’t mind.” It’s not really a question, even though it would have been better put that way, because she doesn’t really have to ask… And then she’s mentally berating herself for sounding so silly-sappy, except she’s also really not ‘cause she’s too busy wondering if he’s going to kiss her ‘cause it really seems that way…
…But then he moves away, nodding for her to follow. She shakes off the dazed-absentness (and again with the mental scolding as she does, because she seriously needs to get a grip) and follows. She’s glad when he starts talking ‘cause that means she doesn’t have to, and having something other than whatever that was to think on makes it easier to not start wondering what exactly it was.
"I'll let you talk to Gio as I cook. I don't think I can manage talking to two people at once. Gustave likes to bark orders." She nods in agreement, then he glances over to the side, "No offense."
…?
…Oh, Gustave probably. After all this time one would think she’d be used to that by now, but, um, no, not really. Not at all, because to her the idea of ghosts (or more aptly Ghosts with a capital G ‘cause… well, they just seem like they should have one, okay, so there) is creepy and scary and she’s really glad she’s not the one with that power ‘cause, um, eek! But anyway, they’re at the door now, and he opens it, looking inside. She fidgets absently in place, waiting as he speaks. Playing with a bracelet on her wrist and then noticing that she’s still got coffee left, ooh, and taking a sip of it…
"Gio, Anna is going to be joining us for dinner. Um...but I told her all about you and she wants to talk. Would you be alright to talk to her? I promise she is a very nice woman and won't hurt you."
She peeks in a little to offer a smile around him at the boy, as if reinforcing that, yes, she’s friendly. Not going to hurt him. Not a vampire. Con moves to leave, and she offers a smile his way also.
”See, he is fine with it. I'll call you two when dinner is ready."
”M’kay... bye hon.” she waves absently as he leaves (and is definitely not getting into why she felt the need to say bye when he’s probably only gonna be gone for like a half hour or something at most, because that’s just silly and, yeah, not thinking about that), then slips the rest of the way into the room, offering another smile Gio’s way.
”Hey.” she greets in a slightly-subdued tone (not nearly the normal hyperactive-cheerful sort, because she doesn’t want to scare him off or anything), and then realizes that she’s got no idea what to say next. Because it’s not like she can just jump into the conversation, and small-talk, for Anna, is really hard because it turns into complete randomness that normal people can’t follow, and yeah this might be harder than she’d thought…
”I...um, apparently am not very good at starting conversations… at all. I’d introduce myself but that’s already been covered… and… yeah. Um.”
Okay yes, not helping at all. Probably making him less inclined to talk to her than anything else. She absently fidgets with the mug in hand a moment, then blurts out a quick ”D’you like coffee?” before realizing that the question has nothing to do with anything and mentally kicking herself.

After being told to go back inside Gio did obey and ran rather fast inside for he was afraid of the outside. But was odd enough he went to his room did not go for the book instead curled into a little ball near the window. He was looking up at the moon with his curious aquamarine eyes when he heard voices. His head turned when he heard Constantine with his female friend so another hint of curiousness. He crept to the door then he peeked out the crack seeing Constantine speaking. Funny, he never seen Con act like this before as if he was, no there wasn't a way. He would of said something to Gio maybe but Gio did not care he was not angry. He loved his new caretaker a lot and was happy to be here then anyone where else in this world.
Gio still watched like a curious little kid since he was not really too mature for his age. Was Con going to kiss this girl, it seemed like it but then something else was done and Gio went scurried away from the door. He went back to the window and sat near it in his chair curled up in a little ball. All he did was peer out the window which he was just thinking till he heard the voice. 'Gio, Anna is going to be joining us for dinner. Um...but I told her all about you and she wants to talk. Would you be alright to talk to her? I promise she is a very nice woman and won't hurt you.' Which he did not jump for he knew Con was coming before Con came into the room. He turned his head to look at Con then he turned his eyes over to Anna who shyly entered.
She seemed timid like him or just nervous to be around Gio which he felt a little unwelcome. But he did nod his head slowly to her then went moved from the chair to his bed then curled onto there. He seemed to like to curl up in a fetal ball a lot which he did on his bed. His knees were up and hugged closely to his body as if he was preventing some harm from him. Also before he went pulled his sleeves down to hide away the nasty scars he had on his wrist from himself. He wrapped his arms around his legs then he looked at Anna as she walked into the room more. Con left which now he was there alone with the girl. She said hello to him which he looked at her, he didn't say hello, just stared at her curiously with his unique aquamarine eyes.
She began to talk again which all Gio did was tilt his head to the side. She seemed just as nervous as he would be but she did not stutter, she rambled. In his mind he kind if smiled but it did not grace onto his lips which looked like they hadn't smiled in ages. But the most random question came out of no where which he wanted to laugh but thought he'd be beaten for it. "I ne-ne-nev-never tr-tr-tried." He said in his quite, scared and stuttering tone of voice which he normally talks like that. Being beaten your whole life for saying just a small little peep would do it to a person. He was damaged, broke mirror, maybe in time he would be mended but at this point he was still scared and shaky.

He's just sort of sitting there all curled up, looking at her and she really hopes she's not making him uncomfortable or scaring him or something. She's pretty sure she's not that scary looking, or at least she's pretty-almost sure and really hopes that's not the case, but it probably isn't. He's just watching her, and she sort of feels a little awkward hoping she's not going to traumatize him worse by whatever she ends up saying or something because, yeah, that would be bad on several levels.
Because, yes, she really does want to help him. And then there's the part about helping him is going to help Con, and she'd definitely be lying if she said that wasn't a large part of why she's in here now. Not that she wouldn't be otherwise, but yeah, it matters (which she'll mentally scold herself about later, yes, because this attachment is getting way out of hand, but now isn't the time).
And then asking him about coffee? Probably not the smoothest intro into conversation, but she can't say it won't work. Because this is Anna, and, for her, coffee makes everything work except when it doesn't so clearly this should go at least something like somewhat-okay, right? And something like somewhat-okay is good enough for her except when it's not!
"I ne-ne-nev-never tr-tr-tried."
Awww... He sounds like he's about to panic and run away! (Or at least, that's what she thinks it would sound like, though maybe not? Whatever, he doesn't sound like he's not-scared, so...) Answer to the question aside for the moment (even though... no coffee? Ever?! Seriously going to have to remedy that!), she shifts in place a second, then drops onto the chair he'd abandoned earlier.
"First of all, you don't need t'be scared'a me, hon. I'm harmless. For real." she smiles and tilts her head slightly, holding up her free hand palm-out, as if to repeat the see? Totally harmless! sentiment. Because it's pretty important.
"And secondlyyy..." She offers the coffee-mug in hand his direction. "If you want to, you can try some. It's got like waayyy too much sugar in it though, so it's not like Pure Coffee. But that's probably better for the first time ever trying it. And I promise there's not, like, gross germs in there 'cause I'm definitely healthy."
Hopefully this works (or at least doesn't fail miserably.)...

Slowly with just her calm presences and since the fact Constantine trusted this significant woman so much he was kind of unraveling out of his ball form. He moved slowly after answering her about this coffee question. He moved to sit indian style on his bed but did move oddly to scrunch his long sleeves in his hand. Apparently he was hiding something he was too obvious about it but didn't know he was. He didn't smile really he just looked down at his bed studying the pretty pattern. His head tilted off to the side then his eyes looked up at her again. She took the seat he was in before when he was staring out the window which he did not mind. He just kept his eyes at her then he listened to her talk to him telling him not to be scared.
She was not going to hurt him which he bite down on his bottom lip thinking about it. Oh he has heard that before from his father with that smell of alcohol on his breath when he was trying to talk to Gio. Those times were the worst beatings of his life time when he actually believed he was not going to be harmed. He flinched to the memory then he looked at her seeing she was making the gestures she was harmless. He seemed to trust her though which he nodded his head slowly then moved a little around. Wanting to face her, listen to her, kept repeating to himself in his head that she was not the bad guy at all. No she was there to help him which he went bite down on his bottom lip, chewed. Sure he was nervous and scared but he was almost the same way with Constantine too.
With a small sniffle he listened to the second part of what she said to him then he looked at what she was holding. She put herself out there like she wanted him to take it so he went thought about it. Which he thought it would be so rude of him to not do anything right away. So he carefully went to take the mug from her and assumed maybe poison but he needed to stop being silly. He took it then he looked at the mug was debating to take a drink for it. Course another bad memory came to him and he was thinking about it for a moment. The taunting times his father would make him drink mysterious drinks which he knew was alcoholic drinks. His father only liked to laugh at the reaction of Gio before beating the living shit out of him.
Another small flinch to the memory as he shook it off from his mind and he sighed deeply. But again he did trust the women and it did smell awfully good to his nose so he thought why not. Putting the mug to his lips he took a small drink from the warm liquid which he was debating if he liked it. In the end he decided it was good which he gave another drink, hoped she didn't mind. He licked his lips a little to get the sugary sweet liquid from his lips then he nodded. Handing the mug back to her he actually smiled something. "Was sweet." He said describing the taste which he had experienced the first time, guess he did like it. Maybe Con will get some more of what she said was in the mug and he smiled a little more. He handed the cup to her which in that small little stretch his sleeve kind of moved to reveal some skin. No he did not notice that his scars were showing he just was modestly trying to hand her mug back to her and such.

Anna's pretty sure he's starting to be less scared - seems like it, at least a little? That he'd be scared enough of her (or really, people in general) for the uncurling to be "less scared" makes her glad she never had to see what was done to him directly because she's not sure she'd be able to handle that.
She sits, watches and keeps smiling reassuringly, keeps doing her best to look harmless (which ordinarily isn't hard at all - she's like a kitten or something; if she's got teeth at all, they're tiny and wouldn't hurt. Metaphorically speaking, anyway - her teeth are pretty much normal as far as she knows... But that's entirely beside the point anyway).
When she offers him the coffee, she's not really sure what he's going to do, if he'll take it or not. Her smile brightens when he does, and she watches (trying not to wiggle excitedly in place, because just because she's addicted to the stuff doesn't mean he'll be the same or anything, so no real reason to be giddy-happy over it!) as he eyes it, and then eventually tries some...
And she's so taking the fact that he takes a second sip as a good sign, and so the grinning is even brighter then, and the resisting bouncy glee even harder to resist (really, she's way too easily excited over coffee-related things; probably too much caffeine. Not that she'll admit that, or change that even if she were to admit it, though).
Of course, the fact that he actually smiles totally beats that, because he's happy! Or at least not-upset. And it was the coffee that did it! It just proves her point that coffee solves everything except things it doesn't solve, which is really a good thing to live by.
"Was sweet."
"Yep!" she responds brightly, "S'best that way. I mean, it's good not-sweet, but sweet and awesome? Just can't beat it." She accepts the mug back from him, still all smiles...
...okay, not still all smiles, 'cause there's a second where her blood runs cold (no, really, it feels like that; it's not just a figure of speech they use in novels and things too much, it's what it really feels like), and then the moment where she's realizing she's not breathing and remedies that, and then the second she's trying to figure out if she saw what she thinks she just saw, and hoping very much that's not the case.
Before she really thinks about it, about how skittish he clearly is and how the gesture will probably scare him, she's reaching out with her free hand to catch his wrist, trying and failing to come out with words and just sort of staring at him (and she wishes she could summon some actual shock, but she's not shocked, just sort of frozen and angry (though not with him) and totally at a loss for words, pretty much everything expectable except shock; she hadn't expected it, but it's not exactly surprising, and that just makes it worse).

Already he liked this person which he did not want her to go no where and also it has been a long time since he had a female in presences. Meaning like a motherly type figure in his lifetime, no scratch that, he never had one of those in his lifetime at all. So maybe his smile was because of that too and he was so much open with her. The coffee offer made him happy because she was so nice to him. No snapping, no hitting and just nothing but sweetness like the liquid drink she had offered him. He was going to actually keep it but that would be rude if he just ninja-ed her mug. So he went handed it back to her and not realize his skin was exposed.
He waited for her to grab the mug but no she grabbed somewhere else instead and he freaked. Not knowing what to do he stayed put for the long moment as she studied his wounds and did not say a thing to him at all. He did not know what to say or what to do so he froze there. Okay suddenly some life came to him which he let go of the mug and let it fall to the ground and hear a loud cling. As soon as he realized he dropped her mug he went into ultimate freak out mode. He tried to get his wrist back with a small wiggle then he busted up in tears freaking out to the max. His voice was frantic but not loud at all to alert Constantine or anything since he was scared to death. "I'm s-s-sor-sorry." He said in his scared stutter then he yanked his wrist back from her grip.
Con was the only other one who has seem them but never asked what happened. Gio did not know what to do but crying in fear and curl up into fetal on the bed. "I d-di-di-didn't me-me-mean to drop your...c-c-c-cup." He thought he was actually going to be beaten by his mistakes. Now Anna could see what Con had to deal with for the past month. Little Gio was all shaken up and stirred around to where maybe he shouldn't even be in contact with people. Constantine was the one pressuring the boy to shape up for the better. He cried a little more but then realized nothing bad was happening to him so he opened his eyes a little.
Maybe she wasn't mad at him which he uncurled a little then blinked slowly then just looked confused. Guess he was not being beaten for it then he looked at his own wrists and then he sniffled. He curled back into defensive little ball which he heard from a distance Constantine arguing with someone. He guessed it was a ghost and it sounded a little funny in the distance. 'How the hell do you stir pasta wrong!? Stop being a nick pick at me! I'm no fancy restaurant chief. At least I'm not going to chock and die on an olive unlike you Mr.Smarty Pants.' Which Gio looked at the door then he curls back into his little ball all scared of the world. He just thought he did bad in dropping the cup and felt she was about to yell at him at any moment.
