Part of Anna realizes that grabbing his wrist was probably a bad idea before he even starts to panic. Most of her though is way too distracted to realize that, too busy trying to hold back from just fixing without asking, because she wants to, wants to a lot, just heal it away, like it never was there.
The mug falling startles her slightly too, and her eyes drop to where it's fallen, part of her silently mourning the loss of coffee (a tiny part, the only part not really paying attention to the big and serious goings-on). But she can always make more (hm, there's a question, the small part of her that's all ADD notes, does Con even have a coffeemaker of some kind..?), and there's way more important things going on...
"I'm s-s-sor-sorry." He yanks away, and she looks at him, watching as he spirals into total freakout mode, curling up in a ball on the bed, not sure what she should do, and definitely regretting the whole grabbing thing. "I d-di-di-didn't me-me-mean to drop your...c-c-c-cup."
"No, don't worry 'bout that, hon..." she shifts in place a little, then gets up, sitting on the edge of the bed next to him (hoping that won't scare him too much, but not sure what else there is she can do), "Seriously, no harm done. I'll pick it up, wipe up the mess, and it'll be fine. I'm sorry I scared you..."
Anna shakes her head slightly, frowning in thought, trying in vain to come up with something to say to make it all better. In theory she knows these sorts of things don't just fix themselves, don't just get better the way she can make physical things get better. But even so she really wants them to work that way, and can't help but want to try to make it happen.
Con's voice drifting through from the other room distracts her for a second, and she can't help but smile at his words (she tries not to, really, but it's like some weird giddiness and won't stop and keeps trying to overflow or something, so she eventually gives up), even though it's still a serious moment and all.
Shaking herself back to the moment at hand, she puts a hand on his arm lightly (slowly, and trying very hard to seem non-threatening), tugging it towards her a little so the mark on that wrist is visable to both of them, trying to avoid the rising panic just seeing that is bringing back (and trying not to think about the fact that she's this attached to him already), "Don't ever do that again, 'kay?" She's careful to keep her tone far from scolding, but without losing the serious edge to it, because, yeah, she's definitely not playing now, but she doesn't want to scare him anymore, either.

Anger was not there, he was amazed, she was another like Con who did not want to hurt him at all. A small bite onto his bottom lip as he looked at her then he uncurled all the way then he sat there. Sweet, she was sweet like the coffee she drank which he liked her just as much as the coffee drink. Actually shocked that she apologized to him since he did not really hear those words before other then Con. So he was all happy that he had found people that did actually care about him. Guess he was a little ADD too because his head turned to the door where he smelt the food. Another good meal which in this month he never ever had good meals at all. At times at home he was happy enough if he got a whole loaf of bread and some lunch meats for a sandwich. Otherwise he would eat at the free cafeteria at school which those meals were never good at all.
Though did keep him alive or else he would of starved to death long time ago. His head went back looking at her but did crack just a small smile when he heard Con arguing in the kitchen. Con was a funny man to live with which at first Gio thought he was crazy talking to himself. But soon enough found out that he was talking to ghost and that was what he did. Con was tainted which he told Gio he was tainted to with something called Astral Projection. Gio had a book on the shelf about his power that Constantine gave him which he read twice already. Did not seem like Gio's powers were controllable at the time other then when he was sleeping. He'd subconsciously would exit his soul from his body then wonder around the town. His wanderings made him think he was having dreams and he met people in his dreams.
He knew of his powers but at times he just didn't get why he had them and what importance they were. Maybe later he shall find out and such how important his powers were and how to control them, but not now. He was only a month or two into his powers and had no control over it. At least he did not speak to dead people, that would creep him out, but then again maybe he would talk to his mother. Going back to now she took his arms which he did not struggle at all since she saw them. Deep slits on both his wrists were there and he looked ashamed he did have them. A small sniffle came from him since he wanted to cry and then she scolded him. Was a loving scold but still he sniffled again when she told him not to do that again, well was more a concern. He nodded slowly since he was agreeing to it and was not going to do it.
Sniffling he cleared himself up then he actually spoke clear since he knew she would not hurt him. But his voice was very low and he was slow with his words since his small speech issues. "Daddy made me." He mastered out some words then he bite down on his bottom lip then continued. "He said it be better if I died." His eyes went off to the side as he said a little more. "He didn't want to look at me anymore." His accent was clear, English, since he was born and raised in England. His eyes went to Anna then he kind of randomly smiled. "I like it here. You guys are good people." He was telling the truth since he liked being with Con here and now he liked being around Anna. Course this moment stopped when Constantine came to the door looking all stressed. 'Dinner is ready.' But he popped right back out of the room to go put the plates together and Gio was prepared to get up to go out for dinner.

Anna’s pretty sure her shaking as she’s holding onto his arm is obvious, but trying not to isn’t really doing much good. His nod is reassuring though, at least a little bit. Absently she wonders if he’d want her to heal it for him, take away the scars. Now, though, doesn’t seem the right time to ask him.
Just when she’s pretty sure that she couldn’t possibly be more horrified and disgusted-angry with his father (or more appropriately “father”, since he couldn’t possibly deserve that title), he speaks (and noticing his lack of the stuttering gets buried under what he’s saying before it ever really sinks in properly).
"Daddy made me. He said it be better if I died. He didn't want to look at me anymore."
Again it’s like everything inside her freezes, first her blood, then spreading from the inside out, and she’s still shaking but trying really hard not to, trying to just calm down before she starts crying or something (she can feel her eyes burning already, but there aren’t tears there – yet). She’s not sure if it’s anger or just the horror that’s stronger, because she honestly can’t understand how someone could hurt someone – in general, but especially someone sweet like Gio is – and then… then that….
"I like it here. You guys are good people."
She smiles again, albeit slightly less bright than before, and more shaky (and okay, now there are actual tears there, but they’re not falling, and she won’t let them, blinking them back as best she can), and nods slightly. ”So’re you, sweetie.” He is, she’s sure of it. Sweet and good, and she really wishes she could just fix him. Or that she didn’t have to want to in the first place.
”You mind a hug? ‘Cause I think we could both use a hug right about now.” She opens her arms a little, tilting her head questioningly with a much more collected sort of grin.
<”Dinner is ready.”
Anna glances up at the sound of Con’s voice, flashing a smile (probably way too bright considering he was just telling them dinner was on, but whatever, who asked you?) and standing up as he leaves.

As soon as he left Anna alone with Gio he went to work on making the meal which all he had to do was bake the chicken, chicken didn't take long to bake really. Also make the pasta which that never too long to get soft. So this was a quick easy meal to make and he lastly made the sauce up. The ghost chief was barking orders which he began to get annoyed then snap back at the ghost. He stirred the pasta around as it was getting soft just randomly in swivels which he was yelled at. Out of frustration he looked at Gustave then yelled at him didn't care if Anna or Gio heard. "How the hell do you stir pasta wrong!? Stop being a nick pick at me! I'm no fancy restaurant chief. At least I'm not going to chock and die on an olive unlike you Mr.Smarty Pants!" He saw his friend was offended then disappeared on him and Con grumbled but at least he had it all ready.
As soon as the timer went off he took the perfectly baked chicken out on his counter to let it cool off a little. This would be enough to feed all the three without garlic bread. He just thought too much garlic shall kill them even though it's probably warn off the vampires of the night. He got out three plates then set a piece of chicken on each of the plates then he waited for the pasta to be done. He felt they were soft enough so he drained the water out and strained the water from the noodles. He put an even amount of noodles on each of the plates then he got the sauce. It was a buttery garlic sauce which Gustave loved to make instead of traditional marinara sauce. He poured the sauce all over the chicken and pasta then he went to call them all to dinner. "Dinner is ready." He said as he entered which Anna was holding Gio's arms and looking like she was going to cry.
He felt bad so he smiled just a little then left. Gio did deliver a hug to Anna before he gotten up then went to the dinner calling. Con was busy putting the three plates on the small dining table he did have. Course he liked to he proper and had places for everyone to sit down and enjoy their meals. He put the plates down then then went to grab some spoons, forks and knifes for them all. Gio took his normal seat which Con smiled at him as he smelt the food and looked like he was going to enjoy it. Con's eyes looked over to Anna which he gave her a solid smile before returning to his small kitchen and getting three glasses of lemonade for them all. He always made it sweet since he did not like the taste of tartness. He came with the table in two trips with the drinks and set them near the food dishes.
When he felt everything was settled he took his own seat then he smiled off. "Well go ahead and dig in and let me know how you like it." He remarked to them both then he smiled waiting for them all to sit down and be comfortable before he went to work on cutting up his chicken into small bite sizes. Gio kind of went the opposite and went for the pasta began to twirl it onto his fork and taking small bites which he seemed to enjoy. Con didn't need an answer from Gio to know Gio liked it, Gio was quiet and kept to himself. A smile went on Con's face, Gio was eating it happily so meant he liked it, so Con was very pleased with himself. Tonight was a late night and he knew Gio would just to to his room and go to sleep. Con would be alone with Anna which Con began to think to himself about random things they were going to do later.
