[W] Closed to Danae Felise ;D
Protective guy mode was engaged. Masinori paced back and forth in the living room of his apartment in the dodgey area of Marseille. Sure, Danae could probably take care of herself better than he could, she could turn into a ferocious animal if someone gave her trouble, what could he do? Dream them to death? He smirked slightly, it was more of a twitch at his lips. But then again he had gone up against serial killers and rapist in the past, he shuddered at the thought. Danae was meeting him today to go to the beach. He wasn’t much of a beach guy, and it was still a bit too chilly, but somehow they’d decided to go hang out there. She was supposed to meet him at his flat because he was busy moving stuff to the little cottage he was pretty much living at now with another friend. It was daytime, but he still didn’t like the idea of a young woman walking around La Castellane alone, not when he knew what kind of dreams the people who lived here had.
He decided to wait downstairs for her and get his bike ready in the meantime. He went into the kitchen and shoved the food he had prepared into a cooler, thinking about all the crunchy grains of sand that would end up in their lunch, but not caring because at least the company would be good. He felt the pocket of his tight jeans for his keys and pulled them out. With the cooler and an umbrella stuck under his arm, just in case it got too sunny for his taste, he locked the door. Not that he had too many valuables inside or anything. Most of his stuff was moved out anyway, it was just habit.
Masi lugged the cooler down the stairs, the elevator was broken again. He passed his moody landlord on the way down, the plastic cooler bouncing unceremoniously on each step, but picked it up after he gave him a dirty look. He was probably wondering why Masi was hardly around anymore and dreading having to rent out his apartment, but Masi was planning on holding on to it just in case. He’d attached a side cart to his motorcycle for Danae, but stuck the cooler in instead. He stood and looked at it for a moment deciding whether she could still fit or if she’d have to ride with him. He decided it probably wouldn’t much matter and stuck his umbrella in for good measure.
She was a little late and he began to feel anxious again. He leaned against his bike and lit a cigarette. Above him the sky was very bright, just a few puffy clouds that didn’t dare go near the sun. The weather, which had been chilly, was warm, and almost too hot when you were out in the sun. He took a deep breath. Today it didn’t have that cool freshness to it that came with winter. It was definitely more of a springy day. He tried to imagine shapes in the clouds, mostly to get his mind off of the terrible things that could be happening to his comrade at the moment. Someone passed and he looked up, but it wasn’t her yet. His cigarette was finished, so he lit another.
Danae turned the corner and his expressionless head shook as he said, “You’re late, chibi wolf.” He swung his leg over his motorcycle and put on his sunglasses, “Are you ready for sun and fun?” He asked unenthusiastically, but made it obvious he was joking lightheartedly by giving a cameo smile.

Late. One word that described Danae for this moment. Right now, she was supposed to meet Masinori at his place. Finally, she left the house. Well she did that ten minutes ago. She didn't really bring much stuff, except just a towel and a jacket.. Eh, she always brought a jacket with her everywhere she went. Hey, you never know when it'll get really cold, or just want to wear a jacket. Her lateness wasn't rare. Always common. Though she wished that she'd be early than late sometimes. It was just better. It did have an advantage. Being late did make Danae rush. In a bad way. She knew she was in for a punishment, well not really a punishment, but bad thing later. Just didn't know when was it coming and what was it. Though she may be wrong. Danae was always wrong on having a punishment or bad thing happen to her for being so late for something planned.
The beach. Danae always went to the beach. Well occasionally. Just when she just wanted to be near the sand, water and especially the sun. One thing that she likes from the sun. In a way. But Danae was alone everytime she went. She'd always see other people in groups having fun. But the beach wasn't for fun. It was also for quietness. But this really didn't seem like a good place for quietness. Not unless you can handle the screaming, yelling, pushing and people just walking over or staring at you in a weird way. Unless you can drown that out in your ears for a while. Not really the best thing for Danae.
This time she was going with Masi. Really good thing. She'd relate to him in a more strong and really good way. Danae was a little excited. Finally. She reached his place. Danae kinda walked the whole way. Well not really. Just walked in a fast pace. She walked aound the corner and saw Masi. "Yeah I know. Sorry." almost sounding like an apology. Could it be blamed on Danae for being late? Well if you put that way, then....yeah. Chibi. Danae smiled at that. Nickname that she liked. It just sorta stuck to her. But it only came from Masi. No one else called Danae that. Whenever she heard that, it made her giggle or have a light, bubble feeling her in. A Japanese thing. Danae was definitely in Japanese. Since Masi was Japanese. The wolf. It was really self-explanitory. No need in detail there.
"Kinda. But are you?" in reassurance. Hey Danae couldn't have fun, unless Masi would have fun. It seemed like a two for one package deal. What fun would it be if half of the people didn't have fun or let loose? "So I sit behind you right?" in an unsure voice of where to sit. Danae didn't really like asking dumb quetions. It placed her common sense in a bad light. She just wanted to be sure. Either way, she'd be wrong. Not completely, but relating to it. More so like half. Shoot she wouldn't care if Masi called her slow or something negative in a way.
The weather. Wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. Although, it was just above average to go to the beach. To Danae. Her way of deciding what to do in the weather. But she was comfortable with this. Normal or regular temperature. She'd adapted to it after ten minutes. There were clouds in the sky. Really big ones. However Danae just glanced at them for a minute than returned her attention to Masi. She noticed the cooler and didn't really think about food or hunger at all. Later she will be hungry. She expected it.

Danae smiled when he called her “Chibi Wolf”, it would‘ve been a much better nickname if she wasn‘t so tall. The truth was they could’ve been about the same size. “I know just why you are late today Danae, something like you had trouble figuring out what to wear or bring with you.” Masinori smirked. “Yes, I am ready to have fun!” He waxed enthusiasm. “Seriously.” He added calmly, tossing his cigarette to the ground and putting on sunglasses, he started his bike. He looked very suave when he did this. “No you walk, I will see you there.” He was joking, but his tone was completely serious. She looked uncertain and he felt a little bad. “Hai,” He said yes quickly in Japanese, “I hope that’s ok, I had to use the side cart for food and other vital supplies.” He was referring to his umbrella, he didn’t want to get a tan and ruin his pasty white complexion.
He was in a lighthearted mood and kept making jokes in his slightly broken English, but he was getting better. He wasn’t usually so jolly or talkative, he was just really happy to be getting out of the house. His bike now started, he handed Danae a helmet and gave her a nod to get on. For some reason she seemed a little apprehensive and he figured she was just nervous about riding the motorcycle with someone who frequently closed their eyes to feel the wind on their face when they should be paying attention to the road. He sometimes would forgo wearing a helmet altogether because it just felt so good, even if it did make his hair look like shit.
It felt especially good today, given the weather, and he wondered if maybe he’d actually swim. There were a lot of people out enjoying the good weather, but traffic was ok and they went at a steady pace, seeing interesting things along the way. He could already feel the sun beating down on him when they got to the beach. He picked the least crowded area, having a natural aversion for the noise of screaming children and giddy teenage girls, and rode right onto the sand. He promptly pulled out the umbrella and opened it up, Danae loved the sun and would probably laugh at the sight of him with an umbrella like a prissy girl.
While Danae removed her helmet and set it on the seat, he took off his shirt and put it in the side cart and took out a sheet he had put in there earlier. He unfolded it and began laying it out, it flapped in the breeze as he did so. He used his shoes to hold down the corners, then they sat down. He took in the surroundings for a minute and didn’t have much to say, just enjoyed being out in nature with a nice friend. Life was getting pretty good these days for Masinori. He was meeting new people even though he had lived in France for maybe almost a decade now, really wonderful new people. He was almost bursting to talk about how wonderful, but he contained himself, it wasn't his style to burst. He was also about to be living more permanently in San, which was way better than where he was now in Marseille.
“How is life for you these days?” He asked Danae, finishing his thoughts. He spoke evenly, the sound of the water crashing against the sand made him feel lethargic and he’d probably talk and act even more calm, if that was at all possible. A fly landed on his shoulder blade and he reached back with the same arm to swat it away. His hand traced the tattoo on his back, he could sort of feel the black lines that formed angel wings. He automatically moved the umbrella to cover his back. Sun made tattoos fade.
“Life is finally going great for me.” He said, his voice not giving anything away. He laid back on the sheet and held the umbrella over his upper body. He played around with it and twirled it, squinting up and covering the sun. The sand formed little hills under his reclining body. Maybe the beach wasn’t so bad. If it wasn’t for the salty water that tasted bad, tried to pull you under it, and teemed with strange creatures that he didn’t want to know about…along with all of that sand blowing in your face all the time…then maybe he’d like it here. It still is nicer here at night, He thought to himself.
Suddenly the sound of laughing children drew closer and closer. Their shrieks made Masi cringe a little. He was about to open his mouth to say something when he was smacked in the face by something soft and plastic; a beach ball. “Ooph.” He jumped up and grabbed the ball, then slowly looked around for the culprits. There were two young boys standing a good distance away, one looked nervously at him and the other laughed at his friend so that it was obvious who’d thrown it at him. He looked over at Danae who was watching him waiting to see what he’d do. Under normal circumstances he’d throw the ball back and glare at the children with an intimidating posture, and that’s what he did.
He stood up and took a few steps towards them, standing tall and looking mean and spooky. “You should be more careful.” He said warningly. They looked a little frightened as he held out the ball for them to retrieve, they didn’t come forward. He gave a little smirk and moved like he was going to throw it at them, but it was a fake out. They yelled and laughed and started to run, stopped, turned back, then Masinori did throw it at them and laughed, chasing after them and looking at Danae so she’d come play too. Life must be good for you to run around with urchins this way, he inwardly reflected.

((Sorry it took me a while to reply.))
"Okay!" Danae retreated. "Man.." in a low voice. But instantly, she ignored it, since it was just unimportant. Yes, Danae could handle Masi's personality. It was just, you have to know what you're dealing with. Though, Danae wouldn't blame him for how he is. Strange. Not really. "Of course." in pretty, helpful voice. She scoffed at the 'joke' Masi made. Again, she dealt with the sarcastic or joke comments he made. Sometimes they were hurtful, but mostly they were just funny and obvious. Yes, Danae did understand Japanese. Masi did teach her, but little things though. It was really a fascinating language. Well, just the overall culture, food and language.
Danae got on, little skeptical and unsure at first. She heard of deaths involving motorcycles. That she might die this instant. Though that meant that she didn't trust Masi enough to get her to the beach. Plus, she kind of liked motorcycles. It was just the whole 'death' thing. That this could be the last thing you've done before death. Danae just released that topic, like a releasing a fish from the net. Although, she just didn't like to think about death. Never be a pessimistic. Always lookig on the negative side. Always the optimistic for Danae. Well she's both in certain ways. She didn't say anything about it. Might be discouraging to Masi
Thus, Danae got her helmet on and got on the motorcycle. So they drove off to the beach. Finally, after a couple of minutes, she got used to being on the motorcycle. She did bit her bottom lip on the way, but not anymore. They arrived and Danae removed he helmet and placed it on the seat. As soon as she got off, she instantly stretched and smiled. The sun on her face. It felt warm. Danae was wearing sandals. She brought an extra pair. She walked along the sand, which was wasn't hard, but t wasn't easy. A couple times, her foot sunk into the sand and she had to get it out. She felt small broken pieces of seashells touching against her feet.
She watched in curiousity as Masi placed the blanket on the sand. She titlted her head to the side and sat on the blanket. Certainly, she felt the holes or bumps from the sand. Her eyes were at the waves, which crashed against each other creating a somewhat of a soothing sound. More like an explosion, just in union and like an orchestra. She was a little caught off guard when Masi asked her an question.
"Huh?" in a blank voice. Her eyes immediately went to Masi. "Life's been alright for me." in a firm voice. "Yeah. Positives and negatives. Mostly positives." she smiled at him. Nothing has really happened big in her life. Time passing by her. Then Danae was confused by what Masi said next. "Really? That's good." her mood was then changed into happiness again.
She noticed that a few kids passed by where they were. Danae felt a little childish and cuddly when Masi gave them their ball back. "So sweet." in muttering voice. The next thing shocked and suprised Danae. She never knew that Masi would actually have time to play. So she got up and ran after him. She actually did a little leap on is back. "You wanna play?" she whispered into his ear, in a flirtish voice. "I wanna." in a pouty voice. She wondered what it would be like if she was in Masi's place or life.

Danae was pleasantly surprised by Masinori‘s lighthearted behavior, she promptly got up to join the chase. She jumped on his back while he was running, and he ran around hanging onto her legs giving her a piggy back while the children ran after them, kicking and throwing the ball. But then she whispered flirtatiously into his ear, and it startled him. He set her down, casually so as not to let her think anything was amiss. If she did it would’ve only been a slight wonderment at his lack of a flirty quip in return. That was how their relationship was sort of. People had on occasion mistaken them for being out on a date or together. But things were different now, he was secretly in love with someone. He didn’t want to seem cold though, so he kept running around with them like nothing.
He was out of breath, the children faking him out and pretending they were going to throw the ball at him. He would reach halfheartedly for them, but he was about done playing. Danae pouted at him when he sat back down on the blanket, and he watched her play with the children still. She looked like she was having a really fun time, and he was glad about that. He figured he tended to be boring company a lot of the time, but he had his moments.
While Danae played, he opened the cooler and took out a strawberry Ramune (Japanese soda with little marble in it) and popped it open. The little marble rolled around the top and he sipped it. It was extremely sweet and nice and cold. It felt good going down his throat after all that running, but didn’t quench his thirst too much because of all the sugar. While he drank it he took out a cigarette and smoked that as well. Danae would motion for him to come back and he’d shake his head and smoke his cigarette and laugh at them.
“Omaesan! (Hey!)” He shouted. “Give me my friend back now.” He told the children. Danae would be reluctant to stop, he was sure. He waved a soda at her to tempt her to come sit down. The kids probably weren’t going to go far and he wanted company while he ate lunch anyway. They could always run around later. “Are you hungry yet? That was draining…” He said. Running on the beach took a lot of energy. Not just the difficulty of running in sand, but also the sun was beating down on them. He was seriously tempted to go for a swim, or at least get his feet wet.
“We should look for pretty shells after lunch…” He trailed off, sipping his soda and looking out at the vast expanse of water. He watched the waves crash on the shore and clips of dreams seemed to flash before his eyes. He realized he hadn’t looked at Danae’s dreams in a while and had no idea what she was dreaming about lately. He usually knew what everyone had in their head and would tease them about it if it was appropriate to do so. Most of the time though he didn’t let people know he was in their dreams. “I think…I think I’ve been dreaming lately…” He said, surprised by this. He didn’t usually have his own dreams anymore.

Danae wasn't at all shocked and surprised, but she was somewhat. She couldn't call it rare, but just out of the ordinary. Seemed that her plan didn't work, well not that she couldn't call it a plan. Instantly, she just dropped it, but of course she'll go back to it later, if she can remember it. There wasn't many guys that she could take interest too. Masi may be the first one, well not really, in a way. However, her muse was a little low, but it'll probably go back up to its normal range later. Yes, Danae was a bit sensitive to the small things, if it's a different change than the things she expected.
Danae soon played around with the children. Wasn't often that she had the chance to play with children. Boy, did she feel like a kid again and pretty soon childhood memories came flooding back in her mind. Too bad they had both good and bad memories. She only wanted the good. Guess it was a balance to everything. Though the memory of playing with her sister one day was both good and bad. It was just bad luck that that moment with her sister instantly turned into a nightmare, or bad.
Danae noticed that Masi stopped playing and that was common from him. She always expected this: having fun one minute, stopping the next. Or that's how she interpreted. It sometimes brought her down and made her unenergetic and happy. It was the beach after all. You're supposed to have fun and just screw around, pissing off people, while you're at it. Well not the last part. Oh Danae saw people just relaxing, but they got up and did somethig for a moment. Well Masi did it, it just ended abruptly.
She beckoned him to play, but he denied it. So Danae just continued on playing with the children for a while. Until Masi said that she had to return. Seemed that Danae was a pet or a puppet and Masi was the tamer. The leader and follower. Sad. Well to Danae a bit. She titled her head, in deep thought, but didn't show that in her face expression. She walked back to Masi. What's wrong with you? she thought. It was directly about the both of them. She didn't ant to hurt Masi in any way, otherwise she'd just feel bad about herself and shut down.
"We should. I like sea shells. Seem fragile and pretty at the same time." Danae replied in a uplifting voice. The last sentence she said seemed a little that she was talking to herself, but Masi didn't really know about it. "Really?" in a shocked voice, her eyes widened a bit and they started directly at Masi. Not that it was brought up. Danae did admit that she didn't Masi for a while now, in life and in dreams. She did a doubt Masi for a second of what he said. "About what?" Danae asked cautiously. She didn't want to be intruding and nosy. Though she couldn't help being nosy. She started to be a bit worried about Masi. Or maybe she was worried about her. Yes, it was a complicated relationship between her and Masi. Well in her eyes.

“All sorts of things. Like trouble approaching and happiness that I desire. And look, it isn’t just the dreaming…here I am and it’s daylight. I’m not asleep. It’s almost like I’m a real functioning human being. Out in the daylight.” Masi put a hand in his pocket, his feather wasn’t there. He hadn’t wanted to get it wet today and ruin it any more than it already was from him messing with it. He could always get a new one, but it was sentimental to him now. Who the feather came from, and the day he got it. “I don’t mean to be such a downer.” He handed Danae a lunch box he’d prepared. It was just peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, nothing too fancy. Not sushi. He didn’t go all out because he figured it would be full of sand in a matter of minutes anyway. “It’s just a habit.” He finished his thought. He paused again and squinted up at the sky as he chewed on his sandwich, “does the sunlight always make one feel this drowsy?” He asked absently. Had it really been that long?
Masinori laughed lightheartedly, “Like you.” He responded. Fragile and pretty. “You can turn into something fierce, but you also have a gentle and sensitive heart. Sometimes I worry I hurt your feelings. You can‘t take me all that seriously, I‘m just a cold person, but I think I‘m going to get better at that.” He took a bite that was too big and started to chew it quickly to hide the smile that was forming on his face. Surely Danae would think it slightly out of the ordinary to see him smiling that way. “Sea glass is nice too.” He said changing the subject. He looked at his soda bottle. “It starts out like this, only in sharp dangerous shards, and then the waves make it smooth and cloudy.”
He shrugged and finished the last of his sandwich. Another thing about being awake during normal hours was that he was hungrier a lot more. Still not very often, but more than usual. “I started seeing someone.” He said out of nowhere, he couldn’t contain himself anymore, it was pathetic. His mind kept reverting back to other thoughts, and here he was having a nice day with a nice friend, he couldn’t function normally if he tried. And he couldn’t seem to keep his mouth shut lately either, especially about said matter. Would Danae see the difference now? He hoped at least he’d be better company for her. Had it not been so hot out he probably would’ve played with the children for longer.
“You probably don’t remember, but a while back I passed you on the street when you were talking to them…” It didn’t seem to ring a bell, but she had walked away quickly when it happened anyway. “Well, I walked up and blurted out something stupid.” He was referring to having said, “what a fine specimen of a human being you are” to the then stranger. “And you were just walking away, and so were they…” He was trying to make her guess who it was. He didn’t know why, it just felt fun that way, to create suspense. And he wanted to prolong talking about it, because probably no one wanted to hear him talk about it constantly like he wanted to.
He looked expectantly to see if she knew who he was talking about. He was fighting like hell not to smile, picking up sand in his fists, and letting it loose. Two thoughts occurred to him. One; would Danae think his relationship strange? Two; should he have been more tactful in telling her? Danae didn’t think of him in that way, right? Would he be hurting her feelings? He shook his head to himself, that was such a vain thought, of course not. He waited to see if she’d guess.

Danae responded with a smile first. then she titled her head in a mix of confusion and curiousness. "Hmm." she hummed, "Well what about trouble and happiness? Seem like that you lost it, or someone caused it. You're in need of both of those huh?" her voice was calm, but worried. "I noticed that too." she blurted out. "You were always a night person. Just like me." Danae scrunched her nose a bit. "It's just seems..well I don't know how to say it, since it might offend you. You know I'd never do that." she released a deep sigh, her eyes averted to the sand for a moment. "But it seems out of the ordinary, like weird. Maybe it's because of what I said earlier." Danae grinned and shook her head. "It's okay. You didn't need to say that. I can kind of tell that from what you said. It's okay to just be in a sad mood now and then. Seems that you need permission from me or to apologize for what you're saying." Her eyes went up and Danae took the sandwich. It wasn't fancy, but she didn't give a damn about what she ate. She took a bite and chewed. Her stomach was growling, but not to an extreme that she was in need of food right away. "Well not really. It's just wakes you up and sometimes places you in a bright mood. But for me, it's just like light and dark. Though I do like the sun. Not as much as the moon though."
"Seriously?" in a half suprised manner. "Yeah, it is like me. Though people get that and immediately think that I might cry when they criticize me about one little thing. I'll wail and get mad for one little thing. That ain't me." she explained half, or the first part. "Though I do have to say this. With big things that I'm involve or are about me, like shocking and surprising things, I don't handle those well. I'll cry and just stay away from everyone for a long period of time. It depends though on what the news is. For example, if somebody told me a big surprise, or news, I'd probably just like say nothing and just ignore those people. Be all happy and peppy, but on the inside be like all mean and rude. That's how I would really respond. I'm dead serious. Oh my God..." as she placed her hand on her forehead, her eyes widened as she heard herself of what she had explaine of fragile and pretty, "I sound so weak and probably am.." she bit her bottom lip apprehensively. "Unlike you." she murmured. Now she felt like crap and was now in those downer moods Masi had talked about.
"Hey, don't worry. I know that you won't. That's what I hope and promise. That makes me sad and worried." as she rubbed her eyes. "Please get better. But it seems that you're forcing yourself to change. I have to ask this, but, is there a reason behind you wanting to change? I mean, I just like you the way you are right now. I have no problem. It's just those around you I guess. But if you want I'm all for it. I'm not gonna stop you. Though I kind of wish you would be more open, but still the same. Like both parts. Not like completely open. I mean what good is it if you change and you don't want to change, let alone you like this change?" Sea glass. Danae would compare that to herself. "Over time, it'd change everything about themself, but in a way would still be the same no matter what. I think I'm like the opposite of sea glass. Probably that's me. All nice and smooth in the beginning, then well you know..." she left a few words at the end, since she had a feeling that he knew what she was talking about.
Danae took a big bite and chewed quietly for a while. She noticed that Masi was suppressing a smile. It was rare for her to see him smile. It wasn't awkward and bad at all. It was rare. Only certain thing could probably cheer Masi up. Or that's what she thought. The next thing didn't really blow Danae away, it just shocked the crap out of her. "Really? That's good then." as she smiled, since it seemed that was the only thing she could do. Though on the inside, a whole mix of feelings were happening. Happiness, sadness, anger, curiousity and other emotions that were connected to these. Sure, she was happy for Masi. Maybe that person would help him going through this problem. With happiness, comes the opposite: sad. She was sad and depressed. Well she could have explain why she was sad and depressed. Danae cares about him a whole lot. To one point that she put her life at risk and that she even liked him. Though the second part wasn't going to happen. Though she had to be strong. It seemed that she was going to break down any second in front of him. Instead, she just let it go and move on.
Danae replaced or hid everything in her and only left the happiness. Later on she'd just let it all out. "Yeah, I remember that day." she nodded in a agreement. Well parts of that day were hazy and she had no idea about it at all. "That too." she added. "Okay I'm gonna sound stupid, but I don't care. So....who are you seeing?" that took guts to say, but she said it. "I'm really curious since I'm happy." as she flashed a smile at him. Danae took another bite of the sandwich and was finished with it. The next thing she did was just stare out at the waves and water, thinking about whatever she could make up. She really wondered who it was though. Was it someone she knew? Was it someone she didn't know? It just frustrated her and made her feel dead all over, in the inside too. Great, just what she needed. Well at least, she possibly helped him. She was fed up now. It was whatever to her now.

“More like things that have happened in the past, or things that I may worry will happen. People I care about coming to harm and bad memories. I guess they are mostly dreams where I’m clearing my head out of thoughts, nothing very symbolic or significant. But dreams none the less.” He let out a good loud “ha” when Danae wrinkled her nose. It was the laugh he typically used around people, it was more of a breath than a laugh. He nodded as she explained that she wouldn’t try to offend him, he tried not to smile again, it was weird. “I agree, it’s very weird. Out of character really.” “Seems that you need permission from me or to apologize for what you're saying." Danae said. Masinori quirked his head to the side. Sometimes she said very bold things. She was a spitfire, he really loved her company, but especially when she was like that. Something about being challenged.
“Me too!!” Masinori said about the moon comment, batting his eyelashes a little, he knew she was talking about the actual moon, but since Moonlight was his nickname he turned it into a joke. “Hai, I like the moon very much. Obviously.” He smirked and said this with a little more seriousness. “No way!” Masi assured her, “You’re not weak. I mean, look at me, I usually don’t display any of my inner emotions towards people. You’re braver than me.” He admitted. “The only bad thing is that the people who care about you only see the happy front you put up and can’t be there to comfort you. I know you have people who care about you and want to be there for you. With me I haven’t had many of those people so in the past there was no need to express myself. Unlike me he thought. “No, you’re strong, Chibi Wolf. It‘s hard for people to know their own strengths. Sometimes they need to be told.” It was great to be having a somewhat deep conversation, to open up to someone.
“I’m glad you like me the way I am, but maybe I am not supposed to be this way. Maybe life ruined me a little and I’m recovering from it, but gradually. I’m not trying to change though, I feel like I have no control over it. I just have this inexplicable desire to be better and I’m unconsciously doing it.” “Well, you know…” She trailed off talking about the sea glass. “No, I have no idea, I don’t even know what I was talking about!” He laughed a little at himself. “But anyway, the things the sea makes can be very pretty.” But very dangerous as well. He didn’t say that out loud. He had a tendency to be too philosophical when he let himself, and it annoyed him. He had a strange insight into things from being able to see the dreams of others.
Danae smiled, and Masi allowed himself to now as well. He grinned a wide toothy grin and looked down at the sand, rubbing his neck with his hand, a little embarrassed. She listened to him try to get her to guess, and said she remembered, but didn‘t seem to know who it was. "Okay I'm gonna sound stupid, but I don't care. So....who are you seeing?" There was that sass again that he admired so much. He laughed a little and was quiet for a second. He took his eyes off of himself and his thoughts and watched Danae. The explanation of her reaction to surprises played over again in his head ironically. She looked out at the sea and he knew it immediately. He could read people who couldn’t be read. After all, he was Masinori Moriyama. There was something in the way she’d smiled, it wouldn’t be evident to anyone else, but he could feel the strain now. Now, when he looked at her, gazing off briefly. There was an aura of melancholy that flashed lightly and quickly through that gaze.
“I’m sorry.” He blurted in a half whisper. He shifted uncomfortably and didn’t want to say anything else. He had a bad habit of being right about something he told himself he was wrong about. He wished silently that he hadn’t apologized because it brought some vague light on what she was feeling, which couldn’t have really been happiness. He didn’t want to embarrass her by letting her know that he knew. She had some kind of feelings for him? They had always been flirtatious, but he thought it was just friendly. She was very pretty, and he had been attracted to her for a while there, but he was such a closed hearted person that it had always been hard for him to care about someone in that way. He tried to play it off, “I’m sorry, it’s insulting of me to talk about someone else when I’m here with you. I don’t mean to devalue our time and friendship, you are very special to me.” He gave a cordial bow out of habit.
He bit his lip, and put his hand behind his head, “Well just so I don’t leave you in suspense, it’s your friend Izar…” As much as he wanted to gush about it excitedly a few minutes ago, he was anxious to change the subject now to avoid hurting Danae’s feelings. For the rest of the day he decided to be as playful as possible, to run, to laugh, and to make sure she had the best time at the beach possible. To not be so stuck up. Not out of feeling bad, though maybe partly, but because she was really a good and true friend. He realized that now. She was putting aside her own feelings for his. People like that were so hard to come by for him and he needed to take care of them. He waited for her reaction. Would it be, “Izar who?” or “are you serious?” or maybe she wouldn’t believe him. To him it seemed like the most wonderful innate thing in the world. It had been meant to be all along.
((OOC: Yay I'm glad you're back to RP with me!!!))

"Seems to me that you're scared or you fear something. That something will happen any day at any time and you don't want it to happen. No matter whose dream it is, whether it's a good dream or a nightmare, it'll happen and that it'll harm somebody or everybody that dream involves with it. Also seems that you're protective and that everything else would just stop and go away. That's what I think." Danae shot the reason, even though she heard Masi that it was a dream none the less, it won't hurt to try it. "Maybe that's what been bothering you and eating you inside." she added as an afterthought. Danae only gave a small nod to what he said next. "Yeah, but I like out of the ordinary. I admit that I'm out of the ordinary. It makes you special and all important I guess. I mean would you want everyone to look, act, and speak the same way? I don't. Otherwise it'd just be boring and the same. I'd rather be out of the ordinary than fit in. That's what I think. The tainted are out of the ordinary just because of their abilites. But for me, if I didn't have my powers and was untainted, I'd still be out of the ordinary and that's how the way it is." she gave her opinion of being out of the ordinary. It took her moments, before she realized that she had included tainted. Inside, she felt sick, bitter, weird, and awkward. She hasn't talked about that topic for a while. Barely even touchig it, it made her feel dirty in a way. It was just wrong. But out of the ordinary, it seemed right and that for Danae it was natural.
Danae giggled and sighed. The sudden outburst of Masi wasn't read as excitement, fun, and peppy. It was just loud and sometimes seen as anger. "I know. Judging by personalities, you fit with the moon and I do too. The sun is all bright and happy and the moon is well--" she stopped abruptly, since she didn't want to say what the moon is. It was exactly the opposite of what she said about the sun. She made a promise that she wouldn't attempt to even hurt Masi's feelings. That was just plain wrong. She laid down on the blanket and instantly dropped of what she had said. The next thing had somewhat shocked or more ignited her. "Yeah right! I seem a big softy or just too gentle. I can't believe I'm saying that, but I have too. It seems that anyone could take advantage of me and do whatever the hell they want with me!" she exclaimed, with a little anger. Danae smiled and shook her head. "Me braver than you? I'd like to see that happen. Minus my abilities, it's just whatever for me! I wonder who'd want to protect me? I seem just trash to them!" Now she instantly forgot about her friends. That's how she felt on the inside, everyday whenver she was around her friends. Now that she doubted them one bit. It was a personal thing. "You're the one braver than me! It's obvious! Too blind I guess." she muttered. "I actually admit that I sometimes wonder if I have strengths. It's just frustrating me right now." she groaned and simply scratched her head. This just frustrated her. Though another thing had hit her. This practically came out of nowhere. This also scared her.
"I know." she replied. Danae again moved on and would mourn later on, by herself. "Life's always let everyone down once in a while." This is my fourth or fifth time probably, she thought to herself. "I was wrong then I guess." she released a hard laugh. Her eyes were looking up at the sky. It pretty and had clouds here and there. "Yep. It does make everything pretty." as her eyes went straight to the sea, again. "Well I hope your life gets better or reverts back to normal." And mine too does the same. Maybe the cause of this is....me. another thought. There was no way in chance was she going to say the last part out loud to Masi. It'd probably make him mad and all worried. She felt that everything he talked about was directly sent to Danae. Boy, she just wished she could crawl under a rock or turn into any animal she wanted right now. Her mind ached a little at this point. She bit her bottom lip and just groaned.
"Huh?" in a dumbfounded voice. The apology had hit Danae hard and caught her off-guard. "Why are you saying sorry? Is it because of what I was thinking of this reationship? Or how I reacted? Or just because you feel sympathetic for me?" Danae asked and expected an answer. A honest, good, and reasonable answer at that. "Don't say sorry Masinori. Just don't." Danae ordered him to stop for that word. "It's okay." she reassured him. Though she wasn't sure what she was feeling on the inside. It wasn't numb, but it was starting to be numb. She felt that people could think that she'll heal by saying sorry and just explain. No. It'd take an extreme for Danae to completely heal and really forigve. That didn't stop Masi did it? For saying sorry. Seemed everything was spiraling down for Danae today and was going to keep going. It had a bottomless ground. It'll continue to keep going until something stops it or it'll just break off and weaken. "I'll be fine..." she whispered, barely. She didn't feel like abandoning Masi right now though. She'll just have to suck it up and face the truth. If there was a truth. Or was there? "No it's not. And no you are no doing that." You're just saying the truth to my face right now, another thought, that she wouldn't say. It'd just break Masi and more for Danae.
The next thing Danae did was that she actually sighed in relief and smiled. "Thank God! I thought it was going to be someone I didn't know. That'd be just..." she stopped again, like before. She didn't want to say it was wrong, since it'd lead to something disasterous. Though she no idea Izar was gay. Well he didn't tell her and all. But she didn't give damn whether about being straight, gay, lesbian anymore. It pointed directly for Danae, everything was her fault. At least Masi was happy. That's the only good thing that came out of this. It started as a whole heart and now Danae's heart came broken. Though she promised to put Masi before herself. Even if it meant hurting her. No this wasn't betrayal, cheating, lying, or anything else in that matter. In fact, Danae couldn't describe what she was feeling anymore. It seemed everything was numb for her to think what she felt. That's what it was. It was numb. Couldn't feel a thing, even though you wanted to. It just wouldn't register and go. Danae then simply looked at Masi and smiled, before she just shrugged. Next, she just simply closed her eyes, trying to rest. Out of all of this, she didn't even cry. That was shockin and sad. She almost cried, but she didn't. Danae held it back, just for him. Frankly, everything went downhill and it could get worse. She wished that this would end.
